NEW FUJI X MOUNT LENSES announced by HandeVision :: 24/F2.4 – 35/F2.4 – 50/F2.4 – 75/F2.4 – 90/F2.4
HandeVision is back now, and announced a couple of new lenses, the HandeVision IBERIT f2.4 / 24, 35, 50, 75 and 90mm. They will start shipping in early 2016 for a price that goes from 480 ~ 660US dollars, depending on focal length and camera mount.
Sure, we have already lots of Fujinon lenses covering more or less the same focal lenght, but Samyang has shown that with a sound price/performance ratio, X-shooters are definitely willing to buy third-party lenses. I also own the Samyang 12mmF2 and it’s a lens I really enjoy to use for my landscape photography… and looking at the 38,942 views and 158 comments of the Fuji X Forum thread to this lens, I’d say I’m not the only one.
So it all comes down to IQ… if HandeVision can, with the IBERIT series, deliver a series that is good value for the money, I’m sure there will be enough X-shooters ready to grab one.
And if they send me one again for testing, I’ll be happy to ask my lovely friend Ellie if she’d like to play the model again ;) .
Here is the specs table (the 24 has not specs listed for now)

HandeVision IBERIT f2.4 / 24,35,50,75 and 90 mm announcement
Hutthurm, December 5, 2015 – HandeVision releases its new IBERIT full frame lens series, presenting the unpretentious lenses with a constant speed of 2.4 and focal lengths of 24, 35, 50, 75 and 90 mm. They come in black and in silver and are initially available for SONY NEX E, Fuji X and Leica M mount systems.
HandeVision became a sensation in May of 2013 when it launched IBELUX f0.85/40mm—the fastest lens for mirrorless DSLM cameras. After almost two years of development, the German-Chinese joint venture is now releasing the new IBERIT lens family for the full frame format.
The compact IBERIT lenses are ideally suited for mirrorless cameras. They are small and fast enough to handle any and all photographic situations. For instance, cropping portraits, or landscape and street photography. All capabilities for image composition and visual imagery can be creatively realized with the manual lenses.
During development, particular attention was placed on achieving a light weight and compact size in order to live up to the guiding principle of mirrorless cameras. IBERIT lenses can be used on cameras with full frame sensors as well as cameras with APS-C sensors.
