DPReview Awards 2017
DPReview just declared their favorite gear of 2017.
The big winner is Sony, with the best product of the year, the Sony A7rIII and more awards. Fujifilm does not win anything, but is Runner-Up in the Midrange ILC (X-E3) and Compact Camera (X100F) category.
If I should highlight just one thing that I (respectfully) do not agree with DPReview: I think the Fujifilm X100F would have made a much better “compact camera” award winner than the rather huge Sony RX10 IV.
Here are the winners:
- DPReview product of the year, 2017: Sony Alpha a7R III
- Best high-end ILC: Joint-winner Nikon D850 + Sony Alpha a7R III (the Fujifilm GFX 50S was part of the 4 cameras in the final selection)
- Best midrange ILC: Nikon D7500 (Runner Up: Fujifilm X-E3)
- Best entry-level ILC: Olympus OM-D E-M10 III
- Best consumer stills/video camera: Panasonic Lumix DC-GH5
- Best compact camera: Sony RX10 IV (Runner Up: Fujifilm X100F)
- Best prime lens: Sigma 14mm F1.8 DG HSM Art
- Best zoom lens: Sony FE 16-35mm F2.8 GM
And the rest of the awards go to…
- Best accessory: Godox Ving V860 II
- Best smartphone camera: Google Pixel 2
- Best prosumer camera drone: Phantom 4 Advanced
- DPReview innovation award: Google Pixel 2 computational camera
