Nissin i600 Flash Announced

A few days ago, Nissin Digital launched the Nissin i600 flash, which will be available soon at BHphoto here, Adorama here and AmazonUS here. In Europe it will cost €200.

Photographers always eager to try different types of shooting skills. After go through the process of using natural light, they then goal for light which is controllable as well.

Start with a decent profile picture is good enough to feel the different. No need to be fancy at the beginning. So, we introduce the i600. There are Auto, TTL & M modes. Except for on-camera, you can also make use of optical slave with your existing flash model.

Nissin calls it the “advanced” version of the Nissin i400, which currently saw a massive price drop on BHphoto.

Nissin Air10s Wireless TTL Commander for FUJIFILM Cameras finally Shipping and in Stock

FR-reader Nicolas informed me that after more than 6 months of wait, BHphoto will finally shipped his Nissin Air10s wireless TTL commander for Fujifilm.

You can get the Nissin Air10S at BHphoto and Adorama.

The Nissin Air10s is available for pre-order since June 2017 (!!!) and BHphoto said back in January 2018, that they expect delivery of the Nissin Air10s in February!

It just took a little bit longer than expected ;).

  • February 2017: Nissin announces their Air10S wireless commander also for Fujiflm
  • May 2017: Announcement of postponement. Sony version expected for July, and Fujifilm version to be released in the following months
  • June 2017: Nissin Air10S Fujifilm version available for pre-order at BHphoto

And finally, it seems we got it. BHphoto marks the Nissin Air10S for Fujifilm available for February 21.

But I wonder… how many of you have switched to Godox in the meantime?

And remember, as we reported here, if you own an older Nissin i40, i60A, Di700A and Air 1 Commander, there is a firmware update to make them HSS compatible with Fujifilm cameras, but you have to send it in to Nissin to perform the update.

Nissin i40, i60A, Di700A and Air 1 Commander HSS Firmware Update for Fujifilm Cameras Support (Official USA Announcement)

If you read FujiRumors regulary, you will already have know it:

HSS Update Now Available in USA for Nissin Fujifilm Compatible Products.

The long-awaited Fujifilm High Speed Synchronization (HSS) updates for Nissin branded Fujifilm compatible products are now available in the USA. The models which are affected by this update include:

Nissin i40-FJ Nissin i40 for Fujifilm Cameras
Nissin i60 for Fujifilm Cameras
Nissin Di 700 A-FJ Nissin Di700A for Fujifilm Cameras
Nissin Air 1 Commander for Fujifilm Cameras.

This update will allow the above products to achieve HSS on those Fujifilm Cameras which support this feature. By updating the Air 1 Commander to the latest firmware, the photographer can also achieve HSS with the flash off camera in the case of the Di700A and the i60A.

Customers who have already purchased Nissin Fujifilm flash version products, in the USA, may send their equipment to New England Imaging Distribution, the official USA importer for Nissin products, to have the upgrade performed free of charge. This free upgrade is only available on USA imported product purchased through an authorized USA Nissin dealer. Return shipping is only within the USA.

The link below has a form which can be filled out and sent in with the flash to be updated. Simply complete the form and request Fujifilm HSS firmware update in the “Other Issues” section of the form.
