A Closer Look at the New Fujifilm X-T2 Controls (based on Real Life Leaked Images) !
A few days ago, here on FujiRumors we have leaked the first real life images of the Fujifilm X-T2 (no fake, don’t worry).
Now it’s high time to take a closer look at them, and see all the changes Fujifilm made over the X-T1.
NOTE: these are not rumors, just my observations/speculations based on the (real) leaked Fujifilm X-T2 images.
- the dials on the X-T2 seem to be thicker compared to the X-T1
- addition of center-weighted metering
- the focus assist button of the X-T1 is gone. I guess Fuji made the rear dial clickable and it will work as focus assist, just like it is on the X-Pro2
- no flimsy accessory door (already improved on the X-Pro2)
- New tilt screen (probably flex tilt-screen like the Pentax K1)
- joystick
- The new dual SD-card door has a new opening mechanism.
- The last thing I’ve noticed is that the lock button on the ISO dial looks different compared to the one on the X-T1. It actually looks like if there were two buttons. Maybe this mechanism could allow us to block also the “drive dial” under the ISO dial. However, the “double button” could also be just an optical illusion created by a water drop.
Reminders:
- Photokina is the most important photography show in the world. At Photokina every camera manufacturer will display its very best products. Any yet, the X-T2 will NOT be announced at Photokina (late September), but in late June / early July.
- Fujifilm itself said the X-T2 will have 4K.
cheers
