Fujifilm X-E3, an X100F Killer? :: How I Would have Designed Fujifilm X100F differently :: X100F Good for Weddings? :: Tekiac Eyecup for X-E3

tekiac – Fujifilm X-E3 eye cup

Today’s roundup is focused on the Fujifilm X100F.

However, it is almost inevitable to compare the X100F to the Fujifilm X-E3, so we will also investigating the question today: which one is better for you, the X100F or the X-E3?

This is acutally a question I struggled a lot too, before I decided to go for the Fujifilm X-E3.

5 Things I Like and Dislike About the Fujifilm X-H1 – ZedProMedia

5 Likes & Dislike about the Fujifilm X-H1

ZedProMedia just shared a video about the 5 things he dislikes about the Fujifilm X-H1, mostly for video use. You can check out the video here.

  • Battery Life
  • Video File splitting every 5 minutes and record limit
  • 120fps has lots of moirè and aliasing (probably a procssing limit. X-T3 will have faster processor ;) )
  • jerky IBIS in video. Does not look so natural like GH5
  • video AF is not that reliable and hunts, but really depends on the lens you use (fixable via firmware update)

In his following video he shares the 5 things he loves about the Fujifilm X-H1. You can check out the video here.

  • buttons, handling and grip, feels like a beastly chunk of a camera
  • EVF super bright, definitely better than X-T2
  • Eterna film simulation. Very easy to grade if you don’t shoot Flog
  • autofocus system, really fast and snappy (for stills)
  • silent shutter. Insanely quite. Great for weddings
  • BONUS: 200 mbps 4K

Tony Northrup Fujifilm X-H1 Review (Vs. Sony A7III)

Fujifilm X-H1

Tony Northrup published his Fujifilm X-H1 review. Check out the full video at youtube here. Some excerpts:

  • loves mechanical dial
  • awesome eye detection AF
  • X-H1 is better camera than any Canon and Nikon APS-C camera, expect for battery life and not so much glass as for Canon and Nikon
  • touch screen sucks
  • for sports a Nikon D500 is better
  • he sees no difference between Bayer and X-Trans, and actually a disadvantage because he uses Lightroom
  • Sony A7III has better buffer and has eye detect AF in continous focus. Better battery and IQ, and you can upgrade to higher MP with A7rIII, but with Fuji APS-C you are limited to 24MP

DPReviewTV Fujifilm X-T100 Review

Fujifilm X-T100 Review

Chris and Jordan from DRPreview TV reviewed the Fujifilm X-T100 (with final firmware).  Here is what they think about the X-T100:

  • smart LCD articulation system with benefit that you can do vertical shooting without having to flip the screen out all to the side
  • no ACROS
  • awesome graphic interface and simplified menu
  • champagne gold looks good
  • rear dial is in a weired position
  • he would like to be able to customize more buttons
  • touch screen is laggy
  • XC15-45 very plastic feel, but focusses smooth and performs fairly well
  • better autofoucs than X-A5
  • X-Trans made sense in the past with older sensor, when there was an issue with moire, and X-Trans gave less moiree and sharper images. But nowadays X-Trans does not have the same advantages it had in the past
  • terrible record button
  • well constructed and it doesn’t feel cheap
  • Canon EOS M50 is closest competitor. X-T100 is better choice, feel nicer, looks nicer, and better lens selection
