Fujinon GF 250mm F4 to Cost “Around $3,500” and First Hands-On Reports

We now have the first report of the Fujinon GF 250mm F4 shared at our GFX facebook group here.

The information was told to our group member Gulliermo (check out his instagram and his website guillermojackson.art) during a photography fair by a Fuji rep.

The price of the Fujinon GF 250mm F4 should be “around 3,500” and with 1.4x teleconverter “around $4,000“.

First impressions:

“Performance is top notch, on camera and zooming in it’s as sharp as the 110mm, super sharp! AF speed was very good, same as the 120mm macro and there wasn’t many light available.

The image stabilizer is impressive, I was shooting iso1600 1/40 of a sec f4 handheld with amazing results”

The discussion just started… make sure to follow it here.

I have written a lot about my different lenses over the years, and I even mentioned the 16-55 lens on my last blog relating to my seven year journey with Fujifilm. I am currently halfway through writing my most recent blog regarding the new style of street photography that I have implemented using the flip out screens on my X-T2’s. However, I have been so excited recently about my 16-55 lens that I have momentarily dropped all other projects, so I can write a long-term review on this wonderful lens.

I gave my 6yo my old 5d classic for our road trip last week. He took 1200 photos. I think I took almost as many of him with the camera up to his eye. #prouddaddy

Fujifilm X-H1: Double Exposure Music Video and More Stunning Work… and Does Gear Matter?

Fujifilm X-H1… the Other Roundup :)

Yesterday we shared a more technical Fujifilm X-H1 roundup: pixel peeping, comparisons etc.

Today I’d like to focus on actual work produced with Fujifilm’s latest flagship APS-C camera. And it might be a bit of a surprise, but it’s true: investing in your creativity and your vision, will improve your video – and photography more than any new gear you can buy ;) . Regarding this topic, I’ll share a video of Ming Cai down below, who investigates the question, if gear really does matter.

Let’s start…

… with an amazing music BTS video of Rick Joaquim shared at FujiFilm South Africa Youtube. Rick is also a member of our Fujifilm X-H1 group, and he explains:

I had been toying around with the idea of a #DoubleExposure music video for while and thought this would be the perfect project to try it out on. […] Lots of trial and error doing Double Exposures in post. Was all done in After Effects

Again, make sure to check out the video at  FujiFilm South Africa Youtube.

And here is some more actual work done with the Fujifilm X-H1.
