Fujifilm XF10

2 weeks ago Fujifilm registered a camera, simliar in size to the Fujifilm X70, under the codename FF 180002

We investigated for you and found out that you should stop hoping for a real Fujifilm X70 successor. In fact, the camera will be called Fujifilm XF10 and have no selfie screen as well as no X-Trans sensor. Check out the rumor here.

Well, now nokishita spotted that, according to the same document, the planed release date for the Fujifilm XF10 will be July 5.

& One More – FF 180003

Now nokishita spotted one more digital camera registed with the codename FF 180003. It features bluetooth version 4.2. See the document here.

Fujinon GF Lens Roadmap

You might remember how here on FujiRumors we leaked Fujifilm’s interal GF lens roadmap already back in April 2017 (see screenshot above)!

But time passed, and there is more to share and to update… so let’s do it today.

GF 80mm F1.4

We broke the rumor of a crazy fast GF 80mm F1.4 (!!!) medium format lens back in June 2017.

However, keep in mind that a Fujifilm manager said here that they need 2 years to discuss, develop and finally make a camera and even more than 2 years in case of lenses.

So if in June 2017, when we shared the GF 80mmF1.4 rumor, the discussions about the GF80mmF1.4 just started, then now, 1 year later, IF Fujifilm really decided to go ahead with it, it will take them well over 1 year to come out with it.

Again… if Fujifilm decided to make it all.

But even if Fujifilm decided to make it, you should not expect any GF 80mmF1.4 lens at Photokina 2018, and I’d personally would not expect it before 2020 anyway.

Don’t worry, there will be lots of other great gear to enjoy at Photokina 2018, such as the Fujifilm X-T3 and Fujifilm GF 50R.

Tilt Shift, UWA & The New Roadmap

According to our sources, we must add also a tilt shift lens for the GF system to the list of rumored lenses shared back in April 2017, so the updated and complete rumored GF lens list is the following:

• GF 35mm F2.8 (coming 2018)
• GF 20-36mm F3.5-4.5 (in 2018 this or the GF 100-200)
• GF 100-200mm F4.5-5.6 (in 2018 this or the GF 20-36)
• GF 80mm F1.4 (not in 2018 – personally I’d not expect it before 2020)
• Tilt Shift lens (coming 2018/2019)

Fujifilm plans to release 2/3 GF lenses a year, and since we already got the GF250mmF4 last month, we can expect a maximum of two more lenses in 2018.

Now, for 2018, the Fujinon GF 35mmF2.8 should be sure.

So now it’s your turn guys. Let us know which one you would prefer between the GF20-36, GF-100-200 and the tilt shift lens for 2018.

Fujifilm XF10

Just last week we published a rumor about a “camera, similar in size to the X70” that has been registered by Fujifilm.

Everybody was expecting it to be the Fujifilm X70 successor, maybe the Fujifilm X80, but I am very sorry to disappoint you all.

The camera will be called Fujifilm XF10, and… trust me ;) … it is NOT the X70 successor.

Why?

Well, according to our sources, the Fujifilm XF10 will lack of core features of the Fujifilm X70 such as the X-Trans sensor and… the selfie screen!!!

Considering the Fujifilm XF10 without selfie screen an X70 successor would be like considering an X-Pro3 without hybrid viewfinder the successor of the X-Pro2.

When will it be announced?

I don’t know, but consider this: the Fujifilm X-T100 has been registered 1.5 months before its announcement. If we can apply the same timing also to the Fujifilm XF10, then it means it could be announced end of June or July at earliest.

Here are the rumored specs of the Fujifilm XF10 according to our sources:

• Fujifilm XF10
• no X-Trans but 24MP Bayer sensor
• no Selfie Screen
• is NOT the Fujifilm X70 successor
• Similar in size to X70 (as reported here)
• Bluetooth and WiFi (as reported here)

Fujifilm X80: Why This hesitation, Fuji?

Let me say it clearly: I have no information about Fujifilm planing an X70 successor (called X70s or X80). Maybe Fujifilm is working on it, maybe not.

This is why I want to write a few lines to Fujifilm, who, as we know, reads this blog and your comments.

Listen, Fujifilm,

I know that the Fujifilm X70 was a huge flop.

But while it’s true that the Fujifilm X70 didn’t get the success it deserved, I think it should at least get the successor it deserves: the Fujifilm X80.

And here is what I want for the Fujifilm X80:

• Selfie Screen
• X-Trans (if 24MP X-Trans is technically possible on X80)
• remove the flash and give us a small pop-up EVF like the Sony RX100 IV
• No pop up EVF? Then give us an external electronic viewfinder option
• new 18.5mm lens
• faster AF with less hunting
• built-in ND filter
• more video features such as 4K and slow motion
• faster buffer
• and more

So please, Fujifilm, keep up developing this line seriously and give us a worthy X70 successor called Fujifilm X80. With the improvements I mentioned above, it will sell like hot cakes.

Fujifilm X100F Brown

We have rumored the brown Fujifilm X100F since a long time, and it keeps up popping up over the web. This time it’s Fujifilm Philippines that says the brown X100F is “coming soon” at their facebook page here.

I guess that country after country, the brown X100F will be available for sale soon also in other countries, so expect to find the brown Fujifilm X100F for sale soon also at BHphoto, AmazonUS and Adorama.
