Fujifilm X-H1 Listed at Stores – Update

As we reported yesterday, AmazonUS had the Fujifilm X-H1 camera and vertical grip listed. As you can see there, they say shipping starts March 1.

Now also Adorama had it listed for a while, but it has been taken down.

The Fujifilm X-H1 will be announced Feb. 15 at 2PM Toyko time (midnight in New York).

And to manage my impatience for the big day, I made a little Fujifilm X-H1 announcement trailer. :)

Godox AD600 PRO Review, Part 1: First Impressions

The Godox Witstro AD600 PRO has landed! Markus Klinko offers an early hands-on review, with comparisons to the original Godox H1200.

guest post by Markus Klinko

Today, as everything in Shenzhen is coming to a shrieking halt, for Chinese New Year’s celebration, a DHL box arrived from China at my studio, containing the first actual production model of the much anticipated AD600 PRO.

Ever since it was announced first, on October 25th of last year, that a PRO version was rumored to be in the works, speculations on the internet about this new model have run wild.

If you have read my previous article, you know by now that I have been quite enamored with the H1200, the previous Godox flagship portable flash, powered by two AD600 units.

Now, seeing the new PRO version in person, it is a stunning achievement by Godox, and perhaps another nail in the coffin of the established European flash brands and their ill-fated battery powered products.

Make no mistake, the guys in Switzerland and Sweden still make some of the best studio units and special light shaping tools.

But in terms of portable battery flash, Godox has just crowned themselves as the undisputed king of the business!

The Pro is an incredibly well designed and highly efficient light and will be for sure the market leader for some time to come.

The Hidden Fujifilm X-H1 Specs that Fujifilm Does not Mention in Specs Sheets: SD Relay Recording and More!

Earlier today I have shared the detailed X-T2 Vs. X-H1 comparison, focussing on the differences between these two cameras.

And even though the Fujifilm X-H1 specs have been taken from the leaked specs sheet here, there are some things, that Fujifilm does not mention to you.

So, new rumor for you today:

  • Fujifilm X-H1 will have SD Relay Recording, which means that when one SD-card gets full while you record your video, then the camera automatically continues to record to other card. That’s not possible on the Fujifilm X-T2 currently.

But there is more. As we shared in earlier rumors:

  • shorter EVF blackout (I’m sure it will be shorter compared to X-T2, but we have to see how much shorter)
  • Face detection will be available in 4K video

Sure, these are technically still only rumors, but I am confident they are correct. In the meantime, I have updated our in depth Fujfiilm X-T2 vs. X-H1 specs comparison.
