Full List of Fujifilm Products to be Announced “This Week” (April 19)

According to the Japanese site nokishita, here is the full list of Fujifilm products to be announced “this week”. And thanks to FujiRumors sources, we know it will be April 19 :) Always according to FR-sources, Fujifilm will also announce the Instax Square camera.

Trusted Sources Says Ultimate X-series APS-C Camera will Cost Around $2,000 – $3,000 (POLL)

Hey guys,

today I have an update for you regarding the ultimate Fujifilm X-series APS-C camera.

A trusted source told me that previous rumors about this camera were correct. So it confirmed that:

  • Fujifilm is working on the ultimate X-series camera
  • It will indeed be Fujifilm’s most expensive camera in the APS-C line-up
  • X-Trans sensor
  • It will be Fujifilm’s best APS-C camera for video work
  • The camera is still under development, so the final price has not yet been set
  • It will be based on the X-T design

But here is the thing:

The very first rumor I got (and shared) about the “Ultimate X” camera came from a new source here. And after confirmations from trusted source, we can say it was very accurate and gave us many correct hints, except one: the price.

The new source said it would cost $5,000, but the trusted source today said, that the current estimated price for the “Ultimate X” is between $2,000 and $3,000 (depending on which features Fujifilm decides to implement or not).

Do you know what this means?

and since…

  • we are in an early development stage of the Ultimate X

… we all should do our homework now, and let Fujifilm know, how we would like the Ultimate X to be.

This is why I will launch a poll, which I will keep quite general for now. I will only ask you if you would like Fujifilm to put simply everything they can into the camera and charge us $3,000 for it, or maybe take out a some features and charge $2,000 for it.

And of course, feel free to elaborate in the comments, which specs exactly this camera should have for the price you would pay.

Fujifilm X-E3 Will be Smaller than X-E2 (Trusted Source). What Other Design Changes Can We Expect?

A trusted source told me, that the Fujifilm X-E3 will have some “design changes”.

One of the changes of the Fujifilm X-E3 compared to its predecessors should be it’s size: it will be smaller.

I remind you that currently all 3 cameras in the X-E line-up, the Fujifilm X-E1, the X-E2 and the X-E2s, share the very same design.

Note that “smaller” does not necessarily mean “much smaller”. It could be a minor size difference, like the one between the X-T1 and X-T2… but maybe also a more significant one.

I will try to give you guys a more accurate indication soon.

In the meantime, keep up participating to Jano’s very well done X-E3 poll.

What else could change?

Maybe the combined shutter/ISO dial. A redesigned grip? A larger viewfinder? No more pop-up flash?

And another big question: tilt screen or not? I have to admit I am hearing something in this regard. But I also know that it’s a tiny bit too early to be 100% sure there won’t be last second changes with this. But I promise that once I’m 95%+ sure it will or will not have a tilt screen, I will share it here on FujiRumors.

The Fujifilm X-E3 will come this year, maybe this fall.

The Fujinon GF 23mm F4 R LM WR will be announced on April 19, 2017.

Just as rumored yesterday, on April 19 Fujifilm will also announce the Fujinon GF 110mm F2 WR LM.

To me this means just one thing: I have to recover good from my birthday party on April 17, since on April 19 I want to be fit for the Live Blogging here on FujiRumors :).

And in case you missed it, I am selling a “FujiRumors” personalized wooden hand grip (for X-T1), a “FujiRumors” hot shoe cover and also a leather strap here. The value is of $110, and currently the highest bet is of $155. 100% of the money goes to charity to support free education in Cambodia at KNGO, the NGO we collected $3,500 last year with the sale of the fair trade recycled X-shirts.
