Hey X-folks… I have something you might be interested in :-)

According to a source, who was right in the past, Fujifilm will pretty soon release a Firmware Update for several X-series cameras and lenses. The source could not specify which cameras/lenses will be included in the udpate nor if this will be a “Kaizen” Firmware or just a bug fix / support Firmware.

But let’s hope for a nice Kaizen Update.

And no… it will not add support for the XF23mmF2 WR! ;) … enjoy your Sunday!

French Reseller Says: “Fujifilm X-T2 to be announced on June 14!”

Loric Gonzalez of the French Fuji X Group got the following information from a French Reseller: the Fujifilm X-T2 will be announced, in France, on June 14!

I’d love this to be true (it would mean that I wouldn’t have to cancel my Iceland trip in early July), but for now the information I have is that it will be announced in July.

But, since I’m a rumor site, it’s my job to inform you about the “French-rumor”.

At this point, some of you might remember, how even I said back in January 11, that the X-T2 will come in June (rumor here).

So what changed?

Well, as Fujifilm itself said here, the Fujifilm X-Pro2 sold better than expected and they had problems to fulfill pre-orders. That’s probably the main reason why they decided to push back the X-T2 launch a bit (July).

stay tuned,

New Fujifilm NP-W126 Mark2 Batteries Coming !!! (Trusted + Anonymous Source)

bo

According to a trusted & also an anonymous source, Fujifilm will launch a New Version of the current NP-W126 batteries.

I don’t know if this is the reason, why currently the NP-W126 is marked as Back-Ordered at BHphoto, while AmazonUS just says “usually ships within 1-4 months“. You can still find it on Adorama, but for ridiculous $100!

Message to the anonymous source: feel free to contact me again via rumor box, using a nick-name and sharing again some details from your previous message, so that I know it’s really you, or you can also contact me via email so that we can interact (you can create a fake email account, if you feel more comfortable).

Mysterious FF 160001 Digital Camera

Fujifilm just registered a digital camera with the Model Number “FF160001”. Is that the code used for the Fujifilm X-T2? Or is it something else? You can find the registration at wi-fi.org at fccid here and at the Chinese Radio Agency here.

Instax Share SP-2 Printer???

As you know from this rumor, Fujifilm will launch the second generation of Instax Share SP-1 Printer… very likely to be called Instax Share SP-2. Well, Fujifilm registered a device called “SP-2” at the Chinese Radio Agency here. Is that the Instax Share SP-2 printer?
