_ _ _

According to a new source, the Fujifilm X-T2 will be announced in June 2016. If true, this means that both, the X-Pro2 and the X-T2 will be unveiled in the first half of 2016.

Moreover, an anonymous source with nick-name confirms it will be available in “summer… and shares some specs with us:

  • 4K video
  • 1080 @ 120fps
  • improved continuous autofocus
  • 10 FPS continuous

Thanks a lot for sharing the rumors :)

For now, fellow X-shooters, please take the grain of salt. Not only because it’s still unconfirmed from trusted sources, but also because within 8 months, Fuji can decide to change the launch date anytime.

Ok, we can now officially start a new “rumored specs list” adventure here on FujiRumors

  • On October 29, a trusted source told us, that the new Firmware update for X-E2 will come, and it will bring a new AF-system to X-E2 cameras. READ HERE

Still not convinced? Then here is another one:

Fujifilm Hong Kong (via Fujfilm Studio) just said on facebook, that the X-E2 FW4 is currently scheduled for next year mid-January. Earlier this year, my sources and even Fujifilm itself said it will come by the end of this year. If Fuji Hong Kong is right, than there has been a little delay on the release.

Thanks a lot for the FR-reader who spotted and shared this with all of us :)

Fuji X-Pro2: No Tilt Screen (trusted Japanese source) + Updated X-Pro2 Vs. X-T2 Flagship Battle Poll!

 photo no tilt screen_zpsbgeky7bw.jpg

According to what the top trusted Japanese source told me, the Fujifilm X-Pro2 will NOT feature a tilt screen.

From the comments shared on FujiRumors in the past, I know that some will applaud this decision, others won’t. I remember this older Poll, launched when the X-T1 still had to be announced, where 32% of the FujiRumors readers wanted an X-T1 without tilt-screen.

So here are two polls:

  1. The first is about how important the tilt screen in the X-Pro2 is for you.
  2. The second one is an updated flagship battle Poll X-T2 Vs. X-Pro2, considering this new rumor. Sensor, AF-performance and Firmware overall would remain the same between X-Pro2 and X-T2. Main differences: the X-T2 won’t have an OVF, be cheaper, have a better grip etc, while the X-Pro2 will have the hybrid viewfinder, no tilt screen, rangefinder design etc.

New Source: Tamron has currently No Plans for Fuji X mount lenses… but they may produce some in future!

Tamron’s mirrorless offering at Amazon

_ _ _

Earlier this months, I’ve shared the rumor that Sigma has no plans to offer Fuji X mount lenses. According to the source, Sigma believes that the X-market share is too small and Fuji should have better used the M4/3 mount. This statements lead to a very hot debate in the comments, which you can follow here.

But today it’s about Tamron.

When a FR-reader asked Tamron via email, if they will ever make Fuji X mount lenses, Tamron replied that they currently have no plans to offer Fuji X-mount lenses but that they are always developing new lenses, so they may produce X-mount lenses in future.

Unlike Sigma, that’s at least a cautious opening.

While it’s true that Fuji already offers a wide range of excellent lenses, more competition in the X-mount market is always a good thing.

And don’t miss to check out quincy’s masterpiece: the complete Overview over ALL existing and upcoming Fuji X-mount lenses.

In his very clear & well structured list, you’ll find:

  • the name of ALL (currently) 69 X-mount lenses
  • links to reviews for each lens
  • link to product page for each lens
  • short comments to each lens
  • regular price in Dollar & Euro
  • specs such as number of aperture blades, close focus distance, filter thread and more
  • an updated lens chart
