Adobe: improved X-Trans support soon (film simulation support)!

 photo adobe_zps025c6281.jpg

Something is moving at Adobe (click here)…. it’s whispered that the company will soon improve the support for the X-Trans RAF files. What I know about it until now is this:

I’ve been told that, with the next update, Adobe Lightroom and Camera Raw will support Fuji’s Film Simulations. So you can finally put the Fuji X-Trans RAF’s in Lightroom and the software will be able to reproduce faithfully the various Film Simulations mode (Provia – Velvia – Astia – ProNeg Hi – ProNeg. Std – B&W Monochrome +Ye+R+G).

It will be compatible with every X-cameras, including the X-T1!

P.S.: But that’s not the only good news I’d like to spread today. Canadian readers who purchase the X-T1 until March 31 will get the vertical grip for free. Check it out.

And a must read in these days:  Rico’s X-T1 first look here!

First of all, be sure to check out Rico’s first look at the X-T1 here. You’ll hardly find a better initial report on the X-T1 on the world wide web. Done? So go on reading now.

Over at the Japanese site dc-watch (translation) you can see some mock-ups of the upcoming weather sealed lenses: the 16-55 f/2.8, 50-140 f/2.8 and 18-135 f/3.5-5.6.

And here are the mock-ups of the weather sealed trinity :-)

Last Second Rumors: XF 16-55 and 50-140 will be weather sealed too!

 photo 1743145_10201338659763630_2051566384_n_zpsb4f51697.png

I just came back from my work, when FR-source drphotorumor shared this information with me. As to expect, other lenses shown in the new roadmap will be weather sealed too:  the 16-55mm f/2.8 and 50-140 f/2.8!

In the meantime also digicame-info is working restlessly. Over at his website (click here) he just announced some prices for the grips (in Yen, obviously). All in all, I’d expect the vertical grip to cost between $/€ 200 – $/€ 250.

  • Estimated retail price of the vertical position battery grip VG-XT1 of X-T1 for about 25,000 yen.
  • Estimated retail price of the hand grip MHG-XT of X-T1 for about 13,000 yen.

My friends, it’s coming, and I hope my students will aplogize me, when tomorrow I’ll go at work just a “little bit” tired. I’m ready with coffee and some good music in the background…. and a lot of excitement!

You’ll have to manage your impatience just for a few more hours. Soon everything will be real!

And you should not miss today’s X-pert corner first look at the 56mm here.

Final Countdown! X-T1 announcement at 04:30 AM London Time (JAN28)! Stay tuned on FR!

.
I’ve squeezed out my sources like a lemon in these months, and I don’t know what else I can leak. Maybe one of last things I will be able to find out for you is the time, when the X-T1 will be officially announced.

It’s 04:30 AM London Time, this Tuesday, January 28th (11:30 PM, January 27th, New York).

I’ll make a live blogging sessions here on Fujirumors. It will be the final chapter in one of the longest and most leaked rumor stories on Fujirumors (thanks a lot to all sources who cooperated with FR).

As you know, it’s also the moment where you can choose to support several months of leaks and restless work on FR. If the X-T1 is the camera you’ve waited for, feel free to use one of the shoplinks (Amazon, Bhphoto and Adorama & Co) on this blog to purchase it. No extra costs for you, but you’ll allow me to keep this blog running.

I’m already looking beyond the X-T1… and with your support, we could have a great rumor-time also in 2014 ;-)

X-PRO2 announcement in 2014 available in 2015? Design & sensor not finalized as of yet!

 photo X_zpsd592314c.png

Hi all

Some people asked me via personal message on facebook, twitter and email, if they should go for the X-T1 or if the X-PRO2 will be available anytime soon.

I’ve already told you that it won’t come before late 2014, but more likely in 2015 here.

Also Mr.Kawahara and other Fuji Managers said that “there are no plans for an X-PRO1 replacement for now”, because they are waiting to achieve a “major breakthrough”. So it will be radically different to what it is now (organic sensor? Full Frame?).

That said, I’d like to share a rumor from an anonymous source who already told us some X-T1 specs that I think will be correct (price $1,300, 1 card slot, X-T1 + 18-135 in April/May for $1,800…). (Thanks a lot for sharing!)

This source said:

  • X-Pro2
  • Announcement in 2014
  • Available in 2015
  • Design & sensor not finalized as of yet.

So, it’s still a pretty long wait for the X-PRO2. But I’ll try to entertain you with some rumors in the meantime :-) .

The anonymous source contacted me via rumor box and gave itself a fake name, which allows me to recognize it in future. You can do the same if you want, or also create a fake email account and contact me.
