Weather sealed X will come at the end of January + initial report from the CES

 photo weathersealed_zpsb6f0d1cf.jpg

1) A trusted source just told me that we won’t have to wait until the 13th of February for the announcement of the weather sealed X (when the CP+ show starts).

The camera will be announced at the end of January. I don’t know the exact date, yet.

Here is what we know about the weather sealed X until now (from trusted, new and also anonymous sources):

  • bigger and better EVF
  • APS-C X-Trans sensor
  • double SD-card slot
  • weather sealed body
  • announcement at the end January
  • price range between X-E and X-PRO line
  • FujicaST-like design
  • faster AF than the X-E2

2) FR-Chris is at the CES right now. Read his first report from the Fuji stand on his blog here. Next time he will check out the new hand grips!

Any help is appreciated. If there is anyone out there who can tell me more about the weather sealed X (or any other X-gear), please contact me at fujirumor@gmail.com or also completely anonymously via rumor box.

Dominik Fusina admits: the leaked X-W1 is a fake!

 photo d_zps4eea1642.png

[NOTE: As I told you here, the Xf56mm f/1.2 and black X100S coming tomorrow morning (London time). Stay tuned on FR.]

Dominik Fusina says via twitter: the X-W1 appeared on his website is a fake. He created it from his “own experience with mirrorless and vintage cameras and rumors about the next Fuji.”

According to the poll published here on FR, 92% of you where right: the image is not real. So this time you made a better guess than with the leaked blue X-A1 here, which was real but almost everybody said it’s a fake. You’re getting better ;).

Anyway, I don’t think that Dominik is too far-off from what we can expect the real X-W1 (or X-Whatever it’s called) to be. Therefore, would you like a camera with a similar look as the X-W1 created by Fusina? What would you change and what would you keep from his design?

Here it is. The black X100S. As I told you yesterday, it should be sold for the same price as the silver one. Also coming, several FinePix cameras as the 50x zoom S1 and the waterproof XP60 (specs&price) successor, the XP70.

Here is the list of the cameras that should be announced on January 6th. The announcements are normally early in the morning London time, so stay tuned on Fujirumors, the XF 56mm f/1.2 will come on that day, too. Stay tuned on FR that day, also via facebook, google+ and twitter. I’ll do LIVE BLOGGING on that day!

X-W1 image leaked: is this the new weather sealed X?

 photo asd_zpsfc206496.jpg

Is this the long rumored weather sealed X? It appeared at the facebook page of Art Photographer Dominik Fusina.

True or fake? I have my doubts. Why should this camera have the viewfinder selector (as on the X-PRO1/X100S) if it’s EVF only? And why does the exp.comp dial go only from -2 to +2, when the X-E2 goes from -3 to +3? And what’s on the left? Vade retro, mode dial!… but hey, you are the judge!

But, if it’s fake, it’s really well done (I mean the one with the X-W1 on the park bench).
