X-100 replacement with X-TRANS sensor coming soon

Photobucket

If you check page 16 in the current edition of f11 (click here) – an online photography magazine and well worth a read – there’s an X-E1 review in which the photographer mentions an x-trans equipped x100 replacement due out early next year. if true, this could tie in with the fuji announcement early January.

The photographer that wrote this review is sponsored by Fuji (click here)….it’s possible that someone dropped something into conversation and he dropped it into his article.

Rumor: First hints about a Fuji announcement in early January!

This is still a very young website and it needs time to build a network of “sources” that may be able to share hints about possible future products. Yet we just heard from one source that Fuji is about to announce new cameras in early January.

We can definitely expect a new bunch of compact cameras. The CES event in Las Vegas is traditionally a place where manufacturers display their new mass products. But you know, back on January 10th Fuji announced the first X camera (the X PRO 1). They may want to celebrate this with a new X camera or lens?

X-TRANS potential unlocked? Phase one confirmes X-series support

This could be a really great news!

Lionel12 of the Phase One Crew writes in this forum (click here): “Let me be a bit on lim here, all you Fuji lowers – look for next Capture One release – real soon now.

This is his answer to all the Fuji X photographers who are waiting for Capture One to support the Fuji X-series RAW’s.

I’m sure you agree with dogmatheque when he says: “This is great news. I sincerely hope you overcame X-trans difficulties. Can’t wait to wave silkypix goodbye.”

Now, we have to wait, and hope that Capture One “tamed” the X-Trans files and that we can finally enjoy the full potential of the X-PRO1 and the X-E1!

So let’s hope they made a better job than Adobe… we will soon have the answer!

Thanks to David who wrote me an email and directed my attention to this forum!

Zeiss lenses for Fuji X mount to be sold from April 2013

I guess you still know that at Photokina Zeiss announced the development of three new prime lenses for the Fuji X system: The 12mm f/2.8, 32mm f/1.8 and 50mm f/2.8 with a price of around 1.000 Euro. We know got a rumors from a good source saying that these lenses will hit the market on April 2013!

These lenses will have full electronic support for aperture and autofocus. More info about the lenses at Zeiss Blog.

P.S.: Also the Sony E-mount version will be available in April.

UPDATE – Adobe and Fuji working together for a native RAW-files support of the X-Trans sensor?

We received a new rumor, that seems to confirm what we have written in our previous post (click here). Fuji really seems to collaborate with Adobe to develop the software-programs and make them compatible with the X-Trans technology.

Our source had a conversation with Fuji staff at the Photo Plus Pro in NYC. Fuji told him that the X-E1 system has been delivered to Adobe, Apple and DXO and is now working with them towards tweaking the RAW file processing from the new Fuji X-Trans sensor. According to this new rumor we can be confident that Fuji is really moving to solve this problem.
He also told us that at the Photo Plus Pro there was a really big interest of photographers to check out the X-E1 (stealing the show to other cameras). He checked out the camera with the new zoom lens, and enjoyed this “sweet package“.
Thanks T. ;-)
