Fujifilm has just announced that it has sold more than 100 million Instax cameras since 1998.

Cheap to make, a constant cash flow thanks to instax film purchases… no wonder that the Fujifilm CEO called Instax their new goldmine.

TOKYO, April 8, 2025 – FUJIFILM Corporation announces that the cumulative global sales of its instaxline of instant cameras and smartphone printers, which allow users to enjoy on-the-spot photo printing, have exceeded 100 million units.

The instaxseries has continuously evolved since its launch in 1998 by incorporating trends and the latest instant photography technologies. It has grown into a global brand available in over 100 countries. Based on three different film formats—mini, SQUARE, and WIDE—instaxoffers a diverse lineup of products, including analog instant cameras, hybrid instant cameras that combine digital technology, smartphone printers, and palm-sized cameras.

From entry-level models for casual photography to high-end models for more discerning photographers, instaxcaters to a wide range of ages, genders, hobbies, and preferences. As expressed by the global tagline, “don’t just take, give.” instax serves as a vital communication tool and lifestyle accessory embraced by many countries and regions around the world.
