Fujifilm Updates X Mount Lens Roadmap with XF150-600mm and XF18-120mm

FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Sadaichi Goto) has released the latest development roadmap for the interchangeable lens “XF lens” for the mirrorless digital camera “X series” that achieves outstanding image quality and compactness and light weight through its unique color reproduction technology. With the introduction of new products in the “X Series” and the expansion of the “XF Lens” lineup, we have expanded the appeal of taking pictures with the compact and lightweight “X Mount System” ^{* 1} . This time, two new lenses, a super-telephoto zoom lens and a high-magnification zoom lens, have been added to the development roadmap for the “XF Lens”. In the future, we will meet diverse shooting needs with a full lineup of 40 shots.

It is a super-telephoto zoom lens with a focal length that covers 150-600mm (35mm equivalent: 229-914mm equivalent), which is the longest in the history of the “X series”. Taking advantage of the focal length from telephoto to super-telephoto, it is ideal for shooting distant athletes and wild animals. In addition, the compact design that maximizes the advantages of the “X-mount system” provides high mobility such as comfortable handheld shooting.

A high-magnification zoom lens with a focal length of 18-120mm (35mm equivalent: 27-183mm equivalent). For the first time in the “XF Lens”, it is equipped with a function that supports full-scale movie shooting with one operation. We support a wide range of needs from still image shooting to video shooting.

Today, we announced the release of the large-diameter wide-angle single-focus lens “Fujinon Lens XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR” and the large-diameter standard single-focus lens “Fujinon Lens XF33mmF1.4 R LM WR”. In addition to these, the large-diameter wide-angle single-focus lens “Fujinon Lens XF18mmF1.4 R LM WR” released in May this year is a new-generation “large-diameter prime” series with a high pixel count in anticipation of future image sensor resolution. It is a lens that has resolution performance and realizes overwhelming descriptive power.
