FR-Readers Wishlist Corner

It’s time to dedicate some space here on FujiRumors to your wishes and ideas as far as future Fujifilm cameras goes.

Hence, down below are a few emails with Fujifilm camera wishes I have received.

And yes, I have also received lots of non-camera wishes, which I will share in another future FR-reader wishlist roundup.

As for the rumors… guys, don’t worry… there will be plenty of them. ;)

Oh… and the Fujifilm X-E5, Fujifilm X-M5 and Fujifilm X50 you see above are all just renderings I made. But if somebody out there has the real images (of any upcoming camera or lens) and wants to share the joy with the FR-community, feel free to drop me a message.

A medium format, fixed lens camera, styled after the Fujicaflex TLR, with top down viewfinder.

could it happen finally, that Fujifilm would bring a *real* true, optical rangefinder patch to the X100V successor, and X-Pro4? I’d be delighted, and really buying those cameras.

It’s such a pleasant experience, think Minolta Leitz CL/CLE, or any Film or digital M Leica series, also the Pixxii+ from France. Fujifilm should really bring *this* to the masses into that X100 & X-Pro series, what do you think ?! I’d love to see this feature, instead of a simple “hybrid” EVF/OVF viewfinder…because all those Fujifilm gear does look like a rangefinder, but into fact, never *is* the real, true deal – and many ppl do think like myself, not using fujifilm, because the lack of a real rangefinder.

Don’t get me wrong, own the X100 LE, X-E1(2x black & silver) X-E2 black, X-T1 (graphite) and sold my X-A1, X-M1 long before….i love Fujifilm – and would love it even more, *if* there would be a chance, think Pixxii+ APS-C 26 MP Rangefinder, to include a real rangefinder as big selling point !

My wishes for the Fujifilm X-E5. (1) Bring back the front focus switch. (2) Keep the cost low – so no IBIS or weather sealing. (3) Add a small front grip. (4) Keep it small and lightweight – no bigger than the X-E3. (5) a simple flip screen like X-E4 would be great. (6) I would suggest that Fuji make this a stills specialist – leave out costly movie features – folk who want those have the X-T50 and X-S20.

I hope you can help with gauging the opinion of the Fuji lovers out there… I was a Canon shooter for YEARS, film and digital, and, for times in my life, earned my living from photography.
I accidentally switched to Fuji by buying a used X-T1 and kit lens as the X-T2 was launched. Two things happened… I didn’t need a massage every time I came back from shooting, so I carried it everywhere, and I liked the “ecosystem”

I ditched Canon!!!

I have since bought an X-T3 (Landscape mostly), an X-H1(H=Hand held) and my EDC, an X-M1.

Unfortunately I have been diagnosed with a slowly debilitating lung disorder, which means carrying gear is becoming increasingly uncomfortable. I have bought an Olympus E-P7 and E-PL7 in an effort to reduce size and weight and gain IBIS… BUT I like neither the “ecosystem” of gear, and menus, nor, and most importantly, the image quality…

All of this is to set the scene… I need one camera to rule them all…

It has to be a Fuji, it doesn’t need a viewfinder, it MUST have IBIS and it should be as compact as possible!!!

I offer to you (and Fuji)… The X-M2!!!

Now all I need is to see if the rest of the Fuji loving world would be interested too?

Do You Want Fujifilm to Invest R&D money to make the Fujifilm X-M2 (or X-M5)?

I have the X-E4 and love it. I couple it with the 27mm f2.8, 35 f2 and 50 f2 and can carry all in a small shoulder bag. To make me jump to an X-E5 I would like 40MP, IBIS and keep the movable screen of the X-E4.

With the release of the Leica D-Lux 8 in July, do you think Fujifilm will update its lineup with an Fujifilm X30 successor? So many Fujifilm enthusiasts mention the old X30, with the built-in variable focal length lens as a favorite . . . with so many comments and the Leica release, could Fujifilm finally pay attention?

**Yes, I am one of those who feels the X30 was everything I could want in an EDC and Travel camera. Hell, if I could figure out how to upgrade the sensor, I’d do

[admin note: in the headline I called the wished X30 successor the Fujifilm X50, assuming that such a camera would be based on the 5th generation platform. To be clear: I have zero rumors about such a camera]

I have sold all of my Nikon and Canon full-frame gear in anticipation of buying into the GFX system. I do not want the extra resolution of the GFX100S-II or the GFX100-II, but do want the newer autofocus improvements, the 5.76Mg dot EVF, and a lower price. I would be willing to pay $3,900.00 (U.S.) for such a camera.

Is there any chance that you could conduct a survey of your readership to see if there are other photographers out there who are hoping that Fujifilm will release such a camera model?

Are you hoping for a GFX 50S III ?
