FUJIFILM X-T100, Stylish New Addition to the X Series Mirrorless Digital Cameras

FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno) is delighted to announce the launch of the FUJIFILM X-T100, the latest exciting addition to the X Series of the mirrorless digital cameras. The X-T100 is the entry model that realizes high image quality in various scenes with comfortable operation thanks to the enhancement of photo-shooting functions.

The X-T100, featuring a stylish design with the center-finder style, has the compact body weighing just 448g* with an anodized coated aluminum top cover delivering a retro and luxury look. Combined with the powerful 24.2 megapixel APS-C size sensor and Fujifilm’s proprietary color reproduction technology, The X-T100 realizes high image quality.

The camera is equipped with a phase detection autofocus system and a newly developed autofocus algorithm which offers faster and more precise focusing. In addition, a horizontal tilting rear LCD screen makes it easy to shoot a self portrait. Also, a high magnification electronic view finder (EVF) and an extended battery life of up to 430 frames** support comfortable shooting.

The latest built-in Bluetooth®*** technology makes image transfer quick and easy for sharing with friends. It is the ideal companion for smartphone users who want to shoot high quality images in their daily life or while traveling, in addition to photo enthusiasts.

1. Main Features

(1) Anodized coating offers a retro and luxury look in a variety of body colors. Combined with Fujifilm’s iconic color reproduction technology, the X-T100 realizes high image quality

The X-T100 combines a 24.2 megapixel APS-C sensor with the image processing engine to achieve Fujifilm’s renowned image quality. Combined with the FUJINON lens, the camera boasts ultimate image resolution, lowlight capability, wide dynamic range, and outstanding color reproduction that have been refined over 80 years.
In addition, X-T100 follows the center-finder style which is a familiar design of the popular X-T series from Fujifilm, offering three control dials on the top cover. The camera offers a variety of body colors such as Dark Silver, Black, and Champagne Gold.

(2) Fast and precise AF and variety of auto shooting functions with light and compact body enable to easily capture the photographic moment

The X-T100 features the phase detection AF system and a newly developed algorithm which enable fast and precise AF. It ensures that you capture those beautiful photographic moments instantly. Furthermore, the evolved SR+ Auto Mode now achieves higher subject and scene recognition. These automatic functions enable to easily capture the photographic moment.

(3) Compatible with Fujifilm’s well-received X mount lens lineup and featuring three-way tilting LCD monitor, an electronic view finder, and powerful battery.

The X-T100 is compatible with Fujifilm’s X mount lens range, including the latest small and light electronic zoom lens, the XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ. With this lens, you can shoot close-up and group photos. The lineup of FUJINON 26 lenses*4 covers a vast focal length from 15mm to 1200mm (35mm equivalent), supporting creative photo shooting in various scene.
In combination with newly introduced three-way tilting LCD monitor, high resolution and high magnification (0.62x) organic EL electronic viewfinder, and powerful battery capable of shooting 430 frames per charge, the X-T100 is versatile, reliable and ideal companion for your creativity.

(4) New Bluetooth® technology for quick and seamless image transfer

The Bluetooth® low energy technology has been incorporated for quick, easy and automatic transfer of still images to paired smartphones and tablet devices, using the free smart-device app, ‘FUJIFILM Camera Remote’. The newly-added seamless transfer function provides constant image transfer even while in shooting mode, allowing images to be shared and uploaded at a moments’ notice.

(5) Artistic expression with unique Film Simulation and Advanced Filter modes

The X-T100 offers 11 variations of Fujifilm’s unique Film Simulation Modes and 17 variations of Advanced Filters, adding advanced artistic flair or film-like color tones and expression. In addition, the various setting can be adjusted quickly and easily with one-step operation via the function dial, exposure compensation dial, or touch-and-flick function on rear LCD monitor. All these features have been designed to give flexibility in photographic expressions.
