Matt Granger Fujifilm X-H1 Review: “Phenomenal, Best Ergonomics, Survives Water Bucket Attack and Quite Good Battery Life”
Fujifilm X-H1 Review by Matt Granger
After Jared Polin’s very controversial Fujifilm X-H1 review, now it’s time for Matt Granger to share his thoughts about the X-H1.
Here is what he says about the X-H1 (tested while travelling through wonderful Laos, where he also used the X-T2):
- really nice camera in the hands
- he prefers the X-H1 over the X-T2
- IBIS as good as on any other mirrorless camera
- ergnomically probably the best mirrorless he has ever used
- it froze a few times
- focus keeps up 95% of the time, but not on par with Nikon D850
- at the water festival in Luang Prabang, somebody threw a huge bucket of water directly on his X-H1 (and a bit also on X-T2). Despite the X-H1 getting a much bigger hit of water, the X-H1 came back to life after drying and was fine again, the X-T2 not
- filming in low light worked really well
- completely satisfied with the details the X-Trans sensor pulled out
- really quiet shooting, which is great if you don’t want to grab attention
- battery life quite good
- Matt Granger was really impressed by the X-H1
- it’s a phenomenal mirrorless camera
- all the lenses are either very good or excellent
