Fuji X Deals to Start October 13 in Canada. Save up to CAN$ 250 on Fujifilm X-T2 Body Only and Lens Only

Ok… here is an update regarding the upcoming Fujifilm X-Deals in Canada, shared by a new source.

First off: the dates:

  • USA: the deals start October 15, at 00:01 AM New York Time
  • EU: the deals start mid-October
  • CAN: the deals start October 13

And regarding the Canadian deals, here are a few more details:

  • lens only rebates up to CAN$250 (should mostly be between CAN$ 150 and CAN$ 250)
  • Fujifilm X-T2 body only rebate of CAN$200

USA and EU will also offer lens only and camera only rebates.

TIP: Grab your discounted lens as soon as possible (in USA deal starts October 15 at 00:01 AM New York time). In the past, the most requested lenses sold out quickly and were out of stock for months.

Creative Weekend Challenge: Shoot Your Fujifilm X Like a Film Camera… and Here are Rules

Here is a nice creative challenge for you guys: shoot your Fujifilm X (or G) camera, as if it was a film camera. Omar has set the rules:

  1. Set one ISO value and don’t change it
  2. Choose your film simulation (no Sepia!) ;)
  3. No image review
  4. max 36 shots (Omar set his limit to 24)
  5. no auto modes
  6. only use EVF (or OVF)
  7. turn off image preview (beginners can keep this feature on)

Another guy, who played this game, is X100T shooter Ben. He has set more or less the same rules and shares the results at bengray2.runographer.

Fuji X USA Deal to Start October 15

I already told you that in mid October Fujifilm will launch new X deals (including lens only)

As you know, Fujifilm always starts the deals on Sunday, so the deals will obviously start on October 15.

I also got first hints about the price drops, but I will double check and wait for the full details, but more or less I hear of a $150 to $250 price drop range. But as said, take it with a GRAIN OF SALT for now, and stay tuned on FujiRumors for the full details, once I have them confirmed.

The deals will run in USA and Canada. Also EU will offer the deals in mid October.

TIP: Usually these deals sell quite strong, and we have seen lenses run out of stock quickly for months. So grab yours as soon as possible to avoid long waiting times

Fujifilm Instax is King… and Now Goes Mickey Mouse!

Instax sells like hot cakes. Fujifilm simply can’t keep up with the demand, as they also said in this dedicated Fujifilm reportage about how the company survived the arrival of digital photography. At a certain point of the reportage, they will bring you inside the Instax factory, and a Fujifilm worker says that the factory can’t keep up with the Instax demand.

In fact, just take a look at the AmazonUS OVERALL camera and photo ranking… it’s years now, that Instax products are selling better than any other camera product (action cameras included).

So it just makes sense that Fujifilm launches all kind of Instax products, from the Hello Kitty Instax camera to the Star Wars Instax Film, Comic Instax Film, Hello Kitty film, Candy Pop, Rainbow and a lot more.

And now it’s time for more… and to be precise, for a Mickey Mouse Instax camera, leaked by nokisthita.

I remind you that, if you like the Square format, but don’t like the hybrid film/digital Instax Square SQ10 (epic fail that it has no WiFi!!!), you will get a film only Instax SQ version, as we leaked here.
