Hm… I must admit, after an extremely busy summer with 170 articles and rumors written in the last 68 days (as well as thousands of emails), I feel just a little bit worn out ;) .
But don’t worry, a dangerous mix of excitement and coffee is pushing me towards the grand final, on September 7, when we will officially see…
Fujifilm X-E3
Fujinon XF 80mm F2.8 Macro
Fujinon GF 45mm F2.8
new lens roadmaps
new firmware updates
I don’t expect more, but hey, it’s Fujifilm, so surprises are still possible… with the X-T2S high on the “surprise list”.
However, I owe you still the time, so here it is:
Fujifilm will announce it all at 02:00 AM New York time (08:00 AM Berlin Time).
Regular FujiRumors won’t be surprised, since we leaked the X-E3 specs already. But it’s great to have confirmation from Japan, as usual nokishita.
On Twitter, nokishita also mentions:
“With a new product is released new firmware on X and G mounting new roadmap and X-series cameras also.”
Regarding the firmware, we already told you that the X-Pro2 for example will get 4K video and tethering.

When X – E 3 is a black body, the impression is quite different from silver body. XF 80 mm F 2.8 is expensive as a lens of this class, and the size seems to be large, but it seems that it can be expected for that much.
Also, as rumored, a new roadmap for X mounts is likely to be made public as well. I am also looking forward to the new lens roadmap of G mount.
In addition, since the above price is the price of a mass merchandise shop with points, it seems that at the lowest price store it will be cheaper by 10% than this.
Many of you have probably already heard about (and maybe even seen) Christopher Nolan’s latest blockbuster, Dunkirk (trailer here). [Note: C. Nolan also made Inception, The Dark Knight & more]
Well, if you search for “Dunkirk” on the web, you will probably be redirected to sites like comingsoon.net, where you can see some images (including behind the scenes images) of the movie as well as the trailer.
So yes… the APS-C X-Pro2 and the XF18-135 superzoom were used on the set of one of the biggest movies of the year… and its images were used all over the globe to promote the movie :) !
I own the Fujinon XF 18-135… and I always thought it’s kind of awesome for a superzoom :)
It’s nothing new, that Hollywood loves Fujifilm cameras. The X100S was the travel camera of Hector, in the Movie ““Hector’s Search for Happiness” (which I saw in the airplane, when flying back from Cambodia) and the Fuji X-Pro1 was used in the Movie “The Neon Demon” by Nicolas Winding Refn. X-series cameras are also used in TV series like Parenthood TV, The Last Ship and by lots of celebrities.
