It’s pretty sure now: 2 years after it’s release, the Fujfiilm X-E2 will get a new firmware update. It should be released in about 6 months from now (October-November).
Also, the X-T1 firmware 4.0, which was rumored to come on June 18, will very likely be delayed to June 22.
I’m very happy to tell you that today we launch a Limited Number of EXTRA LARGE X-shirts (in USA). Feel free to get one of this cool X-shirts here and to support this charity initiative. Thanks in advance for your help.
Also, I’d like to say a very warm thank you to those, who already supported this project by purchasing an X-shirt. We are about to make the first donation to KNGO and I’ll let you know via Fujirumors how much we were able to donate so far. You Are Great ;)
WHO MAKES THE X-SHIRTS?
TONLÉ: The T-shirts are made by Tonlé, a workshop in Phnom Penh (Cambodia), that produces clothes 100% out of recycled fabrics and pays its workers a salary most Cambodians can only dream of. Here is a Wonderful short & creative video presentation of Tonlé… make sure to check it out… you’ll love it!
AND THE PROFITS GO TO…?
KNGO: 100% (!) of the profits will go to KNGO, an NGO created by Mr. Saveth for his community at the Bospo Village (Cambodia), which today gives access to free education to hundreds of kids. The goal is to include more children into KNGO’s free education program and build a new classroom… and to reach it, we need the support from X-shooters worldwide!
US-residents can buy the Tonlé X-shirts for $29.95 (Free Shipping) at the dedicated fujirumors/shop page (only PayPal accepted). The Tonlé X-shirts will be offered with FREE SHIPPING in USA only.

Peter Fauland faced the challange to write one book about two cameras that share the same look, but are pretty different inside: the X100T and the X100S.
ENGLISH VERSION: The book will be released in late August, and is now available for pre-order at AmazonUS here (available August 28).
GERMAN VERSION: The printed version will be available this week at AmazonDE here and Dpunkt here. The ebook will be released about one month later.
I got an email from our beloved trusted Japanese source. It simply said:
“Patrick, you better add weather sealing to your X-PRO2 specs list!”
And so I did ;)
I have NO rumors about it, but I can’t stop thinking that the 35mmF2 WR (scheduled to come in November according to this roadmap) would be the perfect kit lens for a weather sealed X-PRO2.
And the weather sealing? Is it a gimmick or must have? There is a debate about it over at the FXF! Take a look here and feel free to share your opinion, too.
