As you already know since a couple of days, Fujifilm will announce the 18-135 this Monday, the 16th of June. It will happen at 6 AM London time (7 AM in Rome / 1 AM in New York). Be ready for a live blogging session here on Fujirumors. Wherever in the world-wide web there is something interesting and worth to share about this lens, I’ll put the link here on Fujirumors.

BUT…

you don’t have to look that far to find out more about this lens. In fact X-guru Rico Pfirstinger just told me that he is preparing a first look to “new X-gear” (It’s probably the weather sealed 18-135mm, but as Rico simply said new gear, I can’t be 100% sure). So do not miss this First Look coming on Monday at 1 AM EDT here on Fujirumors.

Monday is also the day where you can choose to support Fujirumors. In fact, if you decide to pre-order the 18-135 clicking in one of the shoplinks (BHphoto/Amazon/Adorama & CO) I’ll share on this blog, FR will get a small commission from stores. RUMOR UPDATE: X-T1 upgrade (X-T1P?) with 4k viewfinder in July?

I admit. When I first read the rumor about a feature upgrade of the [shoplink 21553]X-T1[/shoplink], I was pretty surprised. The first one came from an anonymous source, who asked me not to share anything and to check it with my sources first (thx a lot for the hint). And this is what I did. I didn’t share, because I’m 100% loyal to any of my source, and I started to investigate.

Then 2 sources, that I consider trusted, as every rumor they ever shared with me was correct, told me about the upgrade too.

So I decided that it is high time to share it.

And today I have a little update for you:

  1. The Name: I got rumors about the X-T1b. A trusted sources told me that this would NOT be the name. But another anonymous source (with nick-name, thx) just told me that the name should be X-T1P! I don’t like both names, but these are the rumors.

  2. The Features: So what will be new with this X-T1p (or whatever?)? The viewfinder! According to both, the anonymous source with nick-name and one trusted source, the viewfinder will get a 4.0k upgrade from the current 2.36k.

  3. The Announcement: According to both, the anonymous source with nick-name (ASwN) and the trusted source (TS), the release should be in July (first week of July, according to the ASwN-source).

I do not have any reason to doubt my trusted sources, and therefore, despite the usual critics, I continue to believe that the X-T1 upgrade (a MINOR upgrade!!!) will come.

Of course I’ll try to organize a chat with the top trusted good old source and with the Japanese source to have the ultimate confirmation. So stay tuned for updates and follow FR also on Facebook, google+, RSS-feed and Twitter

The successor of the X100S? The X100T! (trusted + new source)

Bhphoto should change the name to the X200 shield protector

If you remember, last week I told you here that a new source (who contacted me via rumor box and included a nickname) shared 2 rumors with us.

The first rumor was about the faster AF in the second generation 35mm. I couldn’t share the second rumor, because the source said: “Please confirm it with your other sources first as marketing department might change the plans“.

Well, I did my homework and had a talk with our top trusted Japanese source. And it confirms: Fuji has plans to call the X100S successor X100T.

So it seems that, unless the marketing department changes plans again, we can now be pretty sure that X100T will be the final name.

Tilt Screen? Announcement? Weather sealing? New lens? APS-C sensor? My sources are investigating… and in case someone out there has the answers, then feel free to contact me anonymously via rumor box (using a nick-name if you want, so that I can recognize you in future) or via email at fujirumor [at] gmail.com.
