Who follows Fujurmors on facebook will probably already know it: a source, who shared with us a correct rumor in the past, told me that the TCL-X100 will cost €250 in Europe. This makes it a bit cheaper than the [shoplink 12893]WCL-X100[/shoplink], which, at its launch, cost $300 Euro and now costs €270 at AmazonDE.

For a first look at the TCL-X100 check out Rico’s X-pert corner special here.

In USA, the [shoplink 12893]WCL-X100[/shoplink] cost $400 at the launch (currently $315-$330 at AmazonUS). The rumored price is of $350, as already shared here.

TCL-X100 listed at BHphoto. Still no official price listed.

Fujifilm Instax Share SP-1 Smartphoto Printer

FR-reader Eric send me the link to a review of the little and stylish Smartphone printer. You can read the review here at the-owl:

“-Shot the wedding all day using my X-T1 and X100S
-During the down time I WiFi’ed (is that a real word?) over an image from the X-T1 to my iPad.  If you don’t have a wifi enabled camera you can of course   simply ingest the card to the device.
-I used Snapseed to edit the image sightly.  A bit of contrast and conversion to black and white.
– I printed on the Instax Share SP-1
– I gave it to the bride and groom as I left
– They cried….said it was wonderful….and showed it to everyone else.
– Boom!  Added value for wedding photographers right there.”

Also Rico fell in love with the Instax Share SP-1. In his TCL-X100 first look here promised an X-pert corner article about this device and said:

“I am not only the proud owner of a [shoplink 17593]Fujifilm Instax Mini 90 Neo Classic[/shoplink] (what a name!), I have also just bought an  [shoplink 23847]Instax Share SP-1 printer[/shoplink]. I can hardly find the words to tell you how much I enjoy using this device. It doesn’t define image quality in terms of resolution or sharpness, but in terms of character and look. It’s a different ballgame, and Instax is a winner. The cheerful reactions I receive when I am showing tiny Instax prints to “normal folks” are priceless, since everybody seems to know (and love) the good old polaroid. It’s an emotional affair. Luckily, Fujifilm will add direct Instax Share wifi support to wifi-enabled X cameras, beginning with the X-A1 and X-M1, so you won’t have to wirelessly transfer your images from the camera to a smartphone and from there to the battery-powered printer. When I am done with my X-E2 manuscripts, I’ll dedicate an X-Pert Corner to my new-found Instax love affair.”

Nissindigital announced here that the i40 Flash will soon be available also for the Fujifilm X-series…. well, maybe not really that soon, as some X-shooters over at dpreview said it will come in October.

The [shoplink 23919 ebay]Nissin i40 flash (specs&price)[/shoplink] is a new great super compact powerful and flexible flash with ergonomics of the [shoplink 23920 ebay]Fujifilm EF-X20[/shoplink]. It just won the TIPA Award 2014 for the“Best Portable Lighting System”.

“The small (3.35 x 2.4 x 3.35 inches) and lightweight (203g, without battery and soft box) Nissin i40 is available in models dedicated (TTL) to Canon, Nikon, Sony, Four thirds and Fujifilm models, and can cover a lens angle of view from 24-105mm, with additional coverage to 16mm with the supplied diffuser. The Guide Number is 40 at the 105mm setting (meters/ISO 100) and 27 at 35mm. An innovative LED illuminator sits where smaller fill flash modules were in the past, and the light can be used for both still and video recording with 9 steps of output. The i40 offers rear, front curtain and high-speed sync, wireless slave and can be swivelled up to 180 degrees right and left and 90 degrees vertical.”

Thanks again to FR-reader DIS (maker of the ultimate Kaizen firmware post here), for passing me this news.

Oh, and please, Fujifilm, I remember how long it take you to deliver the [shoplink 12883]X100S[/shoplink] and [shoplink 12892]XF 55-200[/shoplink]. You should have learned the lesson: times are over, when almost nobody bought Fuji cameras and lenses. The X-virus is deservedly spreading amongst photographers all over the world and you should organize your production and delivery accordingly to this quickly spreading infection ;-).
