BHphoto and Adorama Launch Their Own 2 Days Only Deals

Share

At FujiRumors, we always emphasize that competition is a positive force. The stronger Fujifilm’s competitors become, the more it drives Fujifilm to innovate and improve.

This concept also applies to major online retailers, who strive to outdo each other by offering better deals to attract customers.

And so it happens that exactly on the days when Amazon launched their massive Prime Deal days, also BHphoto here and Adorama here strike back with their own 2 days only deals.

So we do recommend you to compare prices among several stores to see who is offering the best deal on gear you might be interested in (including your local stores).

This is the Mysterious All-New Camera to be Launched by Fujifilm in 2025

Share

Back in July we told you that Fujifilm will launch an all-new camera. A camera never rumored before and that will be the first of its kind for Fujifilm.

And recently we told you that it will come with a sensor size that Fujifilm has so far never used before and it’s scheduled for release in 2025.

Well, after making all mandatory and multiple checks, I now feel I can give you a 100% rocksolid update on this camera.

According to our trusted sources, Fujifilm is working on a Half-Frame digital camera.

Recently Pentax announced the half frame Pentax 17 film camera, so I guess we can imagine the new Fujifilm camera to be sort of the digital version of that.

The Pentax 17 half frame film camera is enjoying huge sales. So much so that Ricoh had to suspended sales for a while, is considered to increase prices and is also working on increasing production.

If our sources are accurate (and they are), then Fujifilm is now joining the half-frame market, but with a digital offering.

Feel free to let me know if you are intrigued by this camera.

TTArtisan Mini RGB LED Light Announced, but be Aware of This!

Share

When TTArtisan announced the first TTArtisan Super Mini Magnetic LED Light with film canister look I told you that we don’t need this product, but it does look cool.

And I stand by that: this is lovely looking product but totally unnecessary.

But apparently it was a huge success anyway, since now TTArtisan launched the follow up product, the TTArtisan Min di RGB LED Light, which is available at:

Main Specs:

  • Classic 135 film appearance
  • Magnetic cold shoe mount for quick and easy camera attachment
  • 400-750nm RGB Full-Color Spectrum
  • 60-minute charge provides battery life of approx. 80-160 minutes
  • Lanyard hole design for easy carrying

But beware of what FR-reader Jean-François wrote me, especially if you use the light with a bit longer lenses:

The light is too low on the camera and the lens creates a shadow on the subject. The light needs to be enhanced! This can be useful for backlit portraits.

So he came up with the solution you can see in the image above.

I personally use the Fujifilm EF-X8 as a small portable light, which was included for free with my X-T cameras. The EF-X8 can be flipped up, positioning it higher than the TTArtisan, making it more functional without requiring creative workarounds like Jean-François’s. However, I must admit it doesn’t look nearly as attractive.
