The US price is $ 999 for the “X-S10 Body”, $ 1399 for the “X-S10 XF18-55mm Kit”, $ 1499 for the “X-S10 XF16-80mm”, and $ 999 for the “XF10-24mmF4 R OIS WR”

Fujifilm X-S10 is not Weather Sealed

I strangly keep getting this question constantly via email, and I thought it was already kind of answered when I said that the X-S10 is a mid-range camera that will cost $999.

But I am bombarded by questions, if it is weather sealed or not.

Guys, no it’s not. It’s a sub-1K APS-C camera with IBIS. You really can’t get it all in a sub 1K camera.

I don’t know, but I got the impression that some people expected a $999 camera to have IBIS, Dual SD-Card slot, weather sealing, 8K60p and what not.

But I think we should keep our expectations realistic. $999 means that you can’t have it all.

The Vintage Departure

The debate initially fired up when I accurately described you the Fujifilm X-S10, and was then fueled up again when the X-S10 images leaked.

In short: that ain’t’ really that retro-feel we all fell in love with, right?

Indeed, if you are one of those, who grabbed a Fujifilm because of its vintage manual control layout, with dedicated ISO, shutter and exposure compensation dial, then the X-S10 ain’t for you.

But I really believe Fujifilm needed this camera, and it’s a brilliant move that they made it exactly like this.

Fujifilm X-S10 Addional Specs Leaked: 4K30p and More Details

FujiRumors has long rumored the X-S10 already (including how much it will cost).

Now nokishita confirms all our rumors and add a few details:

The main specifications of Fujifilm “X-S10” are 26.1 megapixel X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor, 5-axis in-body image stabilization that has an effect of up to 6.0 steps, X-Processor 4, 4K30p video, full HD 240p slow motion. It seems that it will be motion video, continuous shooting performance of 30 frames / second, 1.04 million dot vari-angle liquid crystal, 18 kinds of film simulation

So far that’s what nokishita says.

Size Comparison: Fujifilm X-S10 vs X-T4 vs X-T30 vs X-T200

Yesterday evening FujiRumors leaked the size comparison between Fujifilm X-S10 and Fujifilm X-T4.

In the comments to that post, some FR-readers took the sketches, and added the Fujifilm X-T30 as well as the currently ultra-cheap X-T200 to the comparison.

I’d like to thanks you guys for the help, and share two of the comparisons you made down below.

We can see, that the X-T30 is still slightly smaller. But not that much, actually, and consider that the X-S10 has also the IBIS unit build into it.

Now, we know the X-T10, X-T20 and X-T30 were absolute best sellers for Fujifilm. But I have the feeling that the X-S10 could do even better, as it features IBIS as well as a nice deep grip, features that many users want and so far could not find in a sub-1,000 Fuji X series camera.

The Fujifilm X-S10 has a terrific potential. Let’s hope it will turn out to be winner for Fujifilm.

EXCLUSIVE: Fujifilm X-S10 Shape and Size Comparison with Fujifilm X-T4

Here is another rumor, exclusive for our wonderfully vivid and lively FujiRumors community.

I was chatting yesterday late at night with one of our sources. It was a very interesting talk, that went far beyond the X-S10 rumors.

Anyway… I told to the source, that me and many other mere mortal Fujifilm shooters following this blog, would be very curious to know how big the upcoming Fujifilm X-S10 is compared to the Fujifilm X-T4.

The source promised it can do something for us, to give us a clear idea about it, and just now I have received this sketch, where the red shape represents the Fujifilm X-S10 and the blue shape represents the Fujifilm X-T4.

And yes, of course the red shape is also an accurate representation of the Fujifilm X-S10. The viewfinder, the dials, the dimensions.

As you can see, Fujifilm managed to squeeze IBIS in a sensibly smaller body compared to the X-T4.
