Pulitzer Prize Winner Ringo Chiu uses Fujifilm X Gear

Share

Ringo Chiu won the Pulitzer prize 2021 as part of the awarded photography staff of Associated Press for a collection of photographs from multiple U.S. cities that cohesively captured the country’s response to the death of George Floyd.

Now NBC News just published a video about Ringo Chiu. In the interview, Ringo Chiu’s first sentence is “I just love photography” and then he goes on telling his story that brought him from China to USA and finally to win the Pulitzer prize.

So what has this to do with Fujifilm?

Well, photography lover Ringo, who grabbed one of the most prestigious awards for photojournalism on the planet, also shoots Fujifilm, as we can see multiple times during the video.

So let’s celebrate yet another Fujifilm X shooters who achieved great results thanks to his passion and talent for photography.

And yet, I am pretty sure that somewhere in a basement or fancy loft, a youtuber is already preparing a video with catchy headline declaring that the Fujifilm X system is no good for any professional use ;).

You can see the video above and check out Ringo Chiu’s work at his instagram here and website here. For the Pulitzer price photo series about the Black Live Matters coverage see this link.

RUMOR UPDATE: Fujifilm X-H2S Compatible with CFExpress and SD-Cards

Share

Just very recently I’ve shared the rumor about the Fujifilm X-H2S being compatible with the super fast CFexpress cards.

Well, some readers contacted me asking me if the Fujifilm X-H2S would also still be compatible with SD-Cards and I am happy to report that the X-H2S will take also SD-Cards.

If you plan to shoot lots of massive bursts, then CFExpress is a must. But for example for my personal needs, a nice snappy (and way more affordable) UHS-II SD-Card is more than enough in terms of speed.

LEAKED: First Fujifilm X-H2S Hands-On Images

Share

These are the first hands on images of the Fujifilm X-H2S (thanks a lot for providing them to us!). A total of 4 images have been provided to FujiRumors, which you can all find below… and they tell us quite a bit about the Fujifilm X-H2S.

First off: yes, the D-Pad is still there ;).

Other than that, the leaked images also confirm what we already told you: no in-camera active cooling system (hence no ugly fan protruding from the camera).

Also, definitely a flippy screen.

We can also see the shutter button and 3/4 buttons next to the top LCD (one of them seems to be red), but that one is quite low resolution and it’s hard to say anything more.

If you observe anything I missed (I have a very stressful day today and write this article in the little wholes I can find), feel free to let us know in the comments down below.

Other than that, the button layout seems to be familiar to what we know from other cameras.
