DPRTV Fujiflm X-E4 First Impressions (and Get Well Soon, Chris!)

DPReview TV has released their first impression video of the brand new Fuijfilm X-E4.

Here are their thoughts:

  • very handsome looking camera with very clean lines, but not same fit and finish of X100V
  • he likes the fron dial with push function
  • has 3.5mm jack
  • headphone jack via USB-C adapter
  • with 27mm/2.8 it weights like the X100V
  • offset EVF is one of the main reasons to get this camera
  • EVF 2.36m dots… eye relief is quite poor, not good if you wear eyeglasses
  • X100V style camera with interchangeable lenses
  • for a bit more money, X-S10 is the better choice (has IBIS)

But most importantly, get well soon Chris!

GFX100S? X-E4? No! The Biggest “Release” on January 27 Might be a Mini-FujiRumors… and How I Photographed my Pregnant Wife ;)

The Biggest “Release”

I checked back, and I saw that Fujifilm never announced so much new gear on a single day as it will happen on January 27 at 8AM New York time.

Here is what we should get.

But exactly on that day, there could be an even bigger “release” that will overshadow it all. Here it is:

January 26/27 is also the date set for the birth of my first child. So yes, I’ll become father (looks like I spent too much time with my wife during the first lockdown last spring ;) )

So, now you also know the main reason why I bought the Fujinon XF80mmF2.8 Macro ;).

What Might Change for You

Needless to say that everything will change in my life.

But will your experience on FujiRumors change?

Ideally you won’t notice any change (maybe just notice even more typos :)).

But what I can’t promise going forward, is that I’ll always be able to reply to all 7,000+ emails I get every year.

Sources will get absolute priority and always get a reply as fast as I can. Also people, who share an interesting Fuji news with me will get an answer.

And I’ll do what I can to reply also to all others, who contact me just to have a general chat about Fuji, or ask gear recommendation etc. But if you don’t get any reply, you’ll now know that I was just too busy and that so many emails accumulated to a point where I can’t go back and catch up anymore, without sacrificing precious time I could spend with my baby (or time I could spend to rest a little bit).

Is this Fujifilm’s Vengeance? ;)

Stores and press are now getting ready for the launch of the new Fujifilm gear on January 27 at 8AM New York time, and as nokishita just said here:

The titles “Fujifilm has announced the GFX 100S and GF80mm F1.7” and “Fujifilm has announced the X-E4, XF70-300mm and the new XF27mm” have been added to overseas news sites

Fujinon XF27mmF2.8 R WR with Same Optics of Original XF27mmF2.8

On January 27 at the Fujifilm X Summit at 8AM New York time, Fujifilm will announce lots of stuff:

Today we have an update regarding the XF27mmF2.8 MK II.

We already told you that it will be weather sealed and have an aperture ring. Now we can add that it will share the same optics of the original XF27mmF2.8. And that’s perfectly fine. I own it, and I can tell you the image quality in terms of sharpness, fringing and chromatic aberration is really good. I frankly do not see any need to change the optics.

FUJIFILM X SUMMIT Announced for JANUARY 27 at 8 AM New York Time (GFX100S, X-E4 and Much More)

FujiRumors told you back in December that Fujifilm would have a major announcement on January 27 (and not January 29), and now it’s confirmed by Fujifilm ;).

There will be a Fujifilm X Summit on January 27 at:

  • 8 AM New York Time
  • 2 PM Rome Time
  • 10 PM Tokyo Time
