Yesterday Fujifilm India said there will be a big announcement.
Immediately this was used to create false hopes and clickbait, announcing new GFX gear and what not.
So FujiRumors was forced to jump in to calm down the spirits, and tell you not to get too excited about it.
Today, you finally know what the big announcement was about, prestigious Indian photographer Raghu Rai joined became an X photographer.
This news fills our hearts with joy and pride for sure.
But if you want rumors, well, you’ll get them. Solid, trusted, exciting. When? Very soon!
Fujifilm India (and ONLY Fujifilm India) is teasing a big announcement soon here.
Don’t worry, it 100% won’t be the upcoming Fujifilm GFX we just told you about.
Keep in mind that India often annouced gear weeks or even a few months after it was announced in the rest of the world, like it was with the GFX100, which got a dedicated announcement launch event a few months after it was discolsed in the rest of the world.
Trust me guys… ;)

I know many of you will be skeptical right now.
Why?
Well, because here is how things went so far:
So, in 4 years of GFX series, we got 3 cameras only, hence less than one camera a year.
Fujifilm rightfully focused on giving us lenses for the system, with 12 G mount lenses launched in 4 years.
But according to our trusted sources, this will change in 2021.
In fact, I have been told that Fujifilm will launch another GFX camera in 2021. It will be more affordable than the recently launched Fujifilm GFX100S.
Expect updates.
On FujiRumors.
Very soon.
Love you!
P.S.: Don’t worry, this new GFX camera won’t use the newly registered low capacity Fujifilm NP-70S battery. That battery is for… oh well, you’ll see soon enough. Just follow FujiRumors ;)

The BCN ranking for the year 2020 has been published. BCN collects data of about 40% of the Japanese electronics and online stores.
Every camera company lost sales compared to 2019, however, Fujifilm did best, getting very close to 2019 in terms of sales thanks to the excellent sales of the Fujifilm X-T4, the Fujifilm X-S10 and the Fujifilm X100V. The only flop of 2020 was the Fujifilm X-T200, which is in my opinion the single best entry level camera you can get, but sadly it did not get the success it deserved.
This confirms what a Fujifilm managers already hinted here: Fujifilm did better in 2020 than other brands.
Now let’s look at the data.
