Fellow X-shooter Matt has been featured in the May 2017 edition of the street photography magazine. The closing portion of the article talks about the role of the Fuji x-Series played in getting him into photography. Matt shared the article also on his website neonat here.
Well, Fujifilm also released the Firmware update for X100F. The firmware update Ver.1.01 from Ver.1.00 incorporates the following issues:
The phenomenon is fixed that ISO cannot be changed by the command dial when ISO is set to AUTO by Camera Remote via WiFi connection to a smartphone or a tablet.
When a camera turns on in MF mode, the focus position comes to the original position where a camera turned off.
The phenomenon is fixed that in MF mode, a focus can shift in a specified condition (ex. repeated CL shooting).
Ok, I’ll admit it… sometimes I wake up, in the middle of the night, after having had a crazy dream. I dream I’m selling all my X-gear and buy the X100F with TCL and WCL… and that’s it.
And you know what? The more I think about it, the more I like this idea. I guess that, at this stage, it’s only the Fujifil X-E3 that keeps from doing the switch to the X100F.
The X100F with TCL/WCL would be such a wonderful and light mini system… so should I switch? And which color? I’d get it in silver. I think that rangefinder cameras with OVF look better in silver, whereas those with EVF only (like the X-E line) look better in black.
And now, after this confession… a bunch of X100F links :)
German Fujifilm GFX 50S Review at Computer Bild TV Youtube. Absolut Top IQ. Even High ISO is extremely good until 12,800. AF is precise and quite fast. Actually quite affordable for Medium Format. Best compromise between price/performance.

So here’s the first test with a human subject. A quick shoot this evening using the Nikon 58mm 1.4G on the Fuji GFX almost the whole time and I think I shot a few with the LensBaby Edge 80 lens but I don’t think any of these samples were with the Edge 80.
There are many fellow camera friends out there, who are still waiting for their X100F to come and/or have a hard time to find it in stock.
Till then, you can enjoy the great images photographers all around the world are sharing at the X100F facebook group and also check out the links below, for more images and reviews.
There is also a little bit of pixel peeping, although I know that X100 lovers are usually not really hard core pixel peepers.

btw… at Photokina 2016, I found Waldo at the Fujifilm Booth. And no… I had no meeting with the Fujifilm Guys. I was 100% anonymous, and it was perfect this way :)
Let’s start the week with a rumor, but take this one with an extra grain of salt, because it’s not only a quite long term rumor, but also a firmware rumor.
With that said, here is what I’ve just heard.
According to a source, right in the past, Fujifilm is planing a firmware update for Fujifilm X100F and Fujifilm X-T20 in autumn 2017.
I have no indication about what it will bring. I doubt it will be huge firmware update, like the one the X-T2 recently got, but it could definitely be a “Kaizen light” firmware update.
I’ll investiagte this, and update you guys as soon as I hear something new. So stay tuned on FujiRumors via Facebook, RSS-feed and Twitter.
And I remind you that Fujifilm announced firmware updates for Fujifilm GFX, X-T2 and X-Pro2 in late May.
It is a rainy Sunday here (of course, always at weekend!), and since I stuck at home, what better thing to do, then to check out winners at this years’ “Oasis Photocontest“, which some consider the “Oscar” for nature and wildlife photography?
The name, Simone Raso, sounded familiar to me. I checked FujiRumors and saw I featured his video, where he photographed Cristiano Ronaldo & Co during a Champions League soccer game standing on the sideline with his X-Pro2 and XF100-400.
So I checked the EXIF data of this image, and well, it’s an X-shot, Fujifilm X-T2 with Fujinon XF100-400 to be more precise.
This image got the “honorary mention” at the Oasis Photocontest. Congratulations, Simone. Keep up delighting us with you X-shots :)
It’s definitely worth to head over at oasisphotocontest website and check out all the images. There is so much truly inspiring work over there. Don’t miss it.

Fujifilm Awards & Curiosity Recap
Fujifilm cameras aren’t new to important recognitions, such as photography awards or cover images for important newspapers.
Sure, it’s the photographer and his vision that creates the image. But hey, at least we can say that Fujifilm cameras are no limitation for real PRO work. Here is a short overview:
