Fujifilm X-A7 Specs and Price Leaked – Announcement September 12 – UPDATE

UPDATE: Fujifilm X-A7 coming in 2 more colors in addition to the ones already leaked. Still one missing, though. Let’s see if nokishita can leak that one too :)

The Fujifilm X-A7 is about to be launched tomorrow, and I have been told a few more details about it by a new source (thanks a lot! :) )

  • 24 megapixel sensor
  • faster autofocus than Fujifilm X-A5
  • Touch LCD screen
  • USB-C for charging and connecting
  • Video: 4K at 24, 25 and 29.9fps as well as full HD up to 59.9

The specs above (and the ones we have shared in older X-A7 rumors) have now been confirmed also by nokishita:

  • Newly developed approximately 24.24 million pixel APS-C size sensor
    • Improved image quality during high-sensitivity shooting compared to X-A5
    • Uses copper wiring that enables high-speed data reading
    • Approximately 8.5 times the number of image plane phase difference pixels compared to X-A5
  • Realized 4K video using abundant amount of information equivalent to 6K by reading all pixels of the sensor
  • Capable of shooting smooth 4K movies at 30 frames / second
  • 4K video can be recorded continuously for up to 15 minutes, and full HD / HD video for up to 30 minutes.

  • Scheduled release date: Late October 2019
  • International Price: Lens Kit $ 699

The Fujifilm X-A7 looks actually like a very nice camera to me.

Especially the upgrade in the video compartment (now 4K@30p instead of the previous – and rather useless – 4K@15p) together with the new fully articulating screen, make it a compact options for vloggers.

A nice camera is coming our way, although I wish it had a pop-up EVF instead of a pop-up flash.

Fujifilm X-A7 Registered and Coming Soon

Fujiiflm X-A7

Fujifilm registered the Fujifilm X-A7 here, as nokishita spotted.

Looking at our Fujifilm camera release timeline 2019/2020, the Fujifilm X-A5 successor was indeed the next on the list, and one of three mysterious cameras coming next from Fujifilm.

So guys, when we tested your rumor skills, you kind of missed that one :).

Sony Launches A6600 and some Sweet APS-C Lenses – Now Stop Sleeping Fujifilm and Give us MORE LENSES!

Sony finally did it and released very nice APS-C cameras, the Sony A6600 and the Sony A6100full introduction here.

Personally I am very happy about the new Sony cameras, because in the high-end APS-C world, Fujifilm is basically without competition, and Sony is a terrific competitor, that I guess we all very much welcome.

But more than the two new camera bodies, I am particularly happy to see they also announced some interested lenses:

The first one is definitely a Pro lens, and goes right after Fujifilm’s XF16-55mm f/2.8.

The second one is a lens, Fujifilm officially considers to make, and in our huge future lens poll, it makes it into the top 10 of your lens wishes.

With Sony now treating with some fine camera bodies and lenses their APS-C system again, I can only hope that Fujifilm will step on the gas again, too.

In fact, this year, we got only 2 lenses for the X system (and one in the current roadmap for 2020):

Now this 100% confirms what we told you back in 2017, that Fujifilm will release 2/3 lenses for each system (X and GFX) a year.

But now look at the APS-C cameras, Fujifilm released (or will soon release) in 2019:

Now that’s just my opinion, but releasing more cameras than lenses in one year is just wrong.

Fujifilm should focus again on giving us more lenses! And as our recent mega-lens-survey showed, Fuji X shooters definitely have lots of unfulfilled needs there.

So it’s nice to see Sony coming out with some fine APS-C lenses. This might push Fuji to speed up their lens development.

Exif Video Resolved DR adds Fujifilm Support for EXIF Metadata Import in DaVinci Resolve

As you might know DaVinci Resolve can’t read the metadata of many DSLRs and Mirrorless cameras. A solution to this problem is now offered by Exif Video Resolved DR.

Exif Video Resolved DR is a plugin for ExifTool, that allows you to import camera EXIF metadata such as ISO, Aperture, Shutter, Lens Type, Gamma, Color Space, Focal Point, etc. to Davinci Resolve, giving you the ability to see a lot more metadata info in your Media Pool with just a few click.

The good news for Fujifilm users is, that on March 14, Exif Video Resolved DR ver. 1.1 added support for Fujifilm X-T30, Fujifilm X-T3, Fujifilm X-H1, Fujifilm X-T2, Fujifilm X-T20, Fujifilm X-E3 and Fujifilm X-A5.

Exif Video Resolved DR is not free, but very affordable. You can get the Fujifilm version for €5 and the version with all cameras supported for €14 (or €20 if you buy Windows and Mac version together). Future updates should be free.

You can check all the details at evrapp.cloud and here is the online instruction manual.

It’s my pleasure to break again the news here on FujiRumors, and if you want to be always and consistently the first to get the news and rumors around the Fujifilm world, here is what you have to do:
