RELEASED: Adobe Lightroom 6.3 + Camera RAW 9.3… with support for the (unreleased) Fujfilm X-T1 IR!

 photo kdhjaslkdflakshfa_zpsxven6zba.jpg

 X-T1 IR: AmazonUS / BHphoto / Adorama

It’s time to give a final answer to those asking me news via email about the Fujifilm X-T1 IR… and the final answer is: I have actually no clue what’s happening with the X-T1 IR.

The camera was announced on August 3 and supposed to be available for the American market (and only for the American market) in October. That’s at least what FujifilmUS told us at its launch. But since then, we have seen several delays, and now AmazonUS says it will be available on December 30.

So, the camera is still not available, but Adobe just announced, that Lightroom CC 2015.3 / 6.3 + Camera RAW 9.3 now support the X-T1IR.

And since we are talking of how Fuji can marvellously mess up the shipping of its products, if there is anyone out there, who can tell me, why the HS-V5 software is available in Europe since months, but still (!!!) impossible to find in North America, please let me know.

At least, the shipping of the XF35mmF2 ad 1.4x TC seem to proceed smoothly.

Let’s see how Fujifilm will manage the shipping of the X-Pro2.

Fujifilm X-T2 will be announced in June (available in Summer)… and here are the first rumored specs! (New + Anoymous Source)

HUGE Fuji US-X Sale now also at BHphoto & Adorama (save up to $400)

_ _ _

According to a new source, the Fujifilm X-T2 will be announced in June 2016. If true, this means that both, the X-Pro2 and the X-T2 will be unveiled in the first half of 2016.

Moreover, an anonymous source with nick-name confirms it will be available in “summer… and shares some specs with us:

  • 4K video
  • 1080 @ 120fps
  • improved continuous autofocus
  • 10 FPS continuous

Thanks a lot for sharing the rumors :)

For now, fellow X-shooters, please take the grain of salt. Not only because it’s still unconfirmed from trusted sources, but also because within 8 months, Fuji can decide to change the launch date anytime.

Ok, we can now officially start a new “rumored specs list” adventure here on FujiRumors

stay tuned,

Every time I check out the images X-shooters shared at the Fujirumors facebook photostream and at the Fuji X Forum, I’m amazed about how many gorgeous images the X-community creates with X-gear: low light, sports, landscape, portrait, architecture, street, astrophotography, fashion, weddings… simply everything can be done with stunning results!

These images also tell me that, for me, Patrick, there is no real need of Full Frame to get a higher keepers rate in my shots. On the contrary, I better invest my time & money in following other photographers and learning from their work. I better buy tutorials, ebooks and go to workshops. I better know my gear and don’t blame it for the lack of my skills. I should ask for advice and study. And of course, practice… go out on the field and shoot, a lot! Try different styles. Challenge myself. Experience frustration and joy… and at the end, have Fun while painting with light!

So, for next hours, I’m out of here guys and I’ll do my homework with the X-T1 now… which is actually one of the few homeworks I really enjoy to do :)

have a GREAT weekend,

BIG Fujifilm Rumors Overview (with Reliability Rating) + 2015 Rumor Check (about 90% correct rumors)

 photo Cyristal Ball Empty_zpsh1g8dgp4.jpg

It’s high time to share some hard facts:

  • 544 blog posts published so far in 2015
  • 92 of these 544 articles were rumors
  • 48 were right, 7 were wrong and 37 still have to be verified
  • 87,27% correct rumors shared so far in 2015 (and it’s up to you to decide, if the 7 wrong rumors are really that grave or rather irrelevant)
  • 1000’s of “Thank you” to all those sources, who shared correct rumors with FR. :-)

About the rumor check

All the rumors shared here are different rumors, mostly from different sources, all shared at a different time about different things.

Also consider that for example every single Fuji X-T10 rumor shared over half a year by different sources (the announcement date, several specs, the leaked images etc.) could have been right or wrong. That’s why they have to be listed separately.

Throwing for example all X-T10 rumors into one pot would not respect the work of several FR-sources. It probably wouldn’t even change the correct rumor hit rate at all, since we’d then have to put together also the wrong rumors, which means I’d have shared just 4 wrong rumors instead of 7.

If you don’t trust this list for whatever reason, then feel free to invest a couple of hours of your time, go through all the rumors shared in 2015 and make your own list. Then pass it to me via email. I’ll be happy to publish it on FujiRumors.

stay tuned,

We now know that everything joofei shared so far is wrong.] – Fujifilm X-PRO2 coming “late 2015“ [NOTE: This early rumor (shared on Janaury 13) was probably correct at the time of sharing, but will turn out to be wrong due changed plans at Fuji. Unless I find an official statment from Fujifilm about the delay, I’ll consider it a wrong rumor anyway.]

5 years X-series Celebration! Big Fuji Photo Contest until Nov. 30. Winner announcement + Exhibition in mid-January

 photo ajsdb_zps7affkft9.png

The X series line-up began in March 2011 with the introduction of the Fuji X100. Now Fujifim decided to celebrate the 5 years X-series anniversary with a worldwide contest, launched via fujifilm-x.com. Join the contest by submitting your photo, and you might be on of the lucky 100 winners, whose picture will be also displayed at the big Fuji photo exhibition in January 2016 at the Fuji Headquarter… and winner of a prize worth $300!

Fujifilm will be hosting a photo exhibition at their Headquarters in Tokyo to showcase the passionate and creative photography works of 100 renowned professional “X-Photographers” along with 100 professional or enthusiast “X-Users”.

Fujifilm invites X series users from around the globe to join the celebration and take part in the contest by submitting their favorite photo taken on an X series camera for entry.

A total of 100 photos will be selected by a judging panel of professional photographers, printed by Fujifilm experts and then displayed at the photo exhibition in January, 2016

I really really really really would love to be there to see the exhibition, but even if I could fly to Tokyo, I doubt anyone of the Fuji Guys would be happy to see me at their Headquarters.

So I’ll stay here at the FujiRumors headquarter, a rented 65 square meter apartment, hoping to be able to make my own party… by … who knows, maybe pre-ordering the Fujifilm X-Pro2 ;) .

good luck to all of you,

Unfortunately, Fuji did not have new mockups on display of the future XF lenses, which left me mildly disappointed, but the 100-400mm should be out in early 2016. The representative noted that April was a likely target date.

X-Pert Corner Special by Fuji X-Guru Rico Pfirstinger… Coming Tomorrow, OCT 21!

 photo XPC logo_zpspiwx8zda.jpg

Fuji X-guru Rico just told me that he will have First Looks ready for tomorrow. I have no more details (and I guess he will, as usual, start typing it somewhere deep in the night).

But if the rumors shared in the past weeks are correct, it could be about the XF35mmF2 WR and the 1.4x Teleconverter. But who knows… maybe it will be about a new Kaizen Firmware, or why not, about the Fuji X-PRO2, which has just been officially registered at the Chinese Ministry here! :)

THE TIME: According to FR-sources, the embargo ends at 07:00 Berlin Time (01:00 in New York)

You can (and should) look for every information about the new Fuji gear on the web (I’ll do appositely a live blogging session for you here on FR), but you will hardly find a better report than Rico’s one… here, on FujiRumors!

stay tuned…

SENSOR RUMORS: Organic Sensor still 2 or 3 years to go :: Sony splits its sensor business – good News for Fuji?

ORGANIC SENSOR

Back in June 2013 here, Fuji & Panasonic announced a new partnership: the goal of this cooperation? Create the first organic sensor, which should deliver industries highest dynamic range, higher light sensitive pixels, a range of incident angle expanded to 60 degrees for faithful color reproduction and more.

An ambitious project, which encountered some difficulties. The last thing I’ve heard here is that the main issue is the high battery drain and heat production.

Now, if 43rumors is right, it will still take a 2 or 3 years before it will be ready for mass production. That’s at least the information 43rumors got from a reliable source here.

This means there won’t be any organic sensor in 2016… if 43rumors sources are right.

SONY SENSOR

Just yesterday Sony officially announced that its sensor division will become a separate company. As SonyAlphaRumors says, “this will help them give autonomy to accelerate decision-making and make them more accountable for their profitability.”

What does this mean for us X-shooters?

It’s a known fact that Fuji purchases its APS-C sensors from Sony. It’s also rumored that, since now, Fuji had to wait half a year before being allowed to use the latest Sony sensor (with X-Trans CFA) for their own cameras.

But now that the sensor division had been split off into a separate company, it’s safe to assume that also the agreements could change. That could explain why my sources said, the X-PRO2 will come in January, and they didn’t seem to be worried at all about the continuous Sony A7000 delay.

I’ll try to dig up more for you…

… and in the meantime, stay tuned and don’t miss anything by following FR also on Fuji X Forum, Facebook, Google+, RSS-feed and Twitter
