NEW IMAGES of XF 90mmF2 & XF 16mmF1.4 WR + NEW ROADMAP with BETTER VIEW of when lenses are coming!

NEW XF 90mmF2 & XF 16mmF1.4

FujiXworld published a new image of the XF90mmF2… no markings on the lens, but we know from Fuji Guy Greg himself that it is going to be weather sealed. And as Markus noticed “it appears Fuji has greatly reduced the diameter of this lens compared to what was shown at the Photokina.”.

They also show a new image of the XF 16mmF1.4, and this time we can clearly read the “WR”& Nano GI coating markings :)

NEW ROADMAP

Just 2 days ago, Fujifilm published a new roadmap. But there was a bit of confusion, because Fujifilm ordered the lenses from left to right according to their focal length, and not their estimated release time… making the time indication much more vague.

Well, now in the roadmap at the bottom of this post, you can see the lenses ordered more clearly, this means with the horizontal position showing the release time.

So we can see that:

XF 16mmF1.4 & XF 90mmF2 should come in the first half of 2015
– XF 35mmF2 somewhere around next fall (right in time for the X-PRO2??)
– XF 100-400 early 2016
– XF 120mmF2.8 1:1 Macro around spring 2016

XF 16mmF1.4 and 90mmF2 will be Weather Sealed too (and join the 35mmF2 WR prime lens)! – source: Fuji Guy Greg

 photo asd_zpsoambrlu9.png

What a day! Fuji just unveiled the new Roadmap here, said that the XF 35mmF2 will be weather sealed... and now this:

In an interview with Greg from the Fuji Guys, bigheadtaco was able to get the following information:

I asked Greg why no prime WR lenses and he said they are coming soon. He mentioned the new 90mm f/2 and the 16mm f/1.4 are going to be WR lenses, but the lens roadmap doesn’t mention it.

So the weather resitant prime familiy will consist in the XF16mmF1.4, XF90mmF2 and XF35mmF2.

You want to know more about it? Well, all you have to do is to stay tuned at FujiRumos… and thanks, nice spot Jonavin ;)

Fuji Rep confirms: 18-135 coming next week (June 16th),16mm + 120-400 sounds right too, new firmware updates on the way

 photo 18-135FOLLOW_zpsb67ccc08.jpg

Chris had a nice talk with a Fuji rep. He asked him about some of the rumors I’ve spread in the last weeks/months, and here are his answers:

– XF 18-135: The rep said it will come „next week“ (Fujirumros says June 16th)
– X30 coming in not so distant future (Fujirumors says this summer)
– XF 16mm would be a „good idea“ (Fujirumors says a 16mm 1.4 will come)
– XF 120-400 “sounds about right” (Fujirumors said it back in February here)
– XF 35mm f1.4 mkII will come after the lens selection has been completed, so probably 2016 (Fujirumors has no idea when it will be announced.)
– X100S, X-E2, X-Pro1 and X-T1 will get a firmware update soon (Fujirumors is working on this one ;-)).

Fujinon XF 16mm f/1.4: that’s Fuji’s new high speed wide angle lens on the roadmap (trusted source)

 photo ROADMAPDEF_zps1a63dfa0.jpg

Fujinon XF 16mm f/1.4
trusted Japanese source

The rumor comes from the top trusted Japanese source, so do NOT take it with a grain of salt, spread the good news on facebook, google+, twitter and wherever you want (but don’t forget to quote the (original) source ;-))

Fuji’s mysterious high speed wide angle lens will be the Fujinon XF 16mm f/1.4!

XF 120-400mm
new source

As I told you on February 3rd, according to a new source (see here), the super telephoto zoom lens will be the XF 120-400. If correct, we’ve just unveiled all the lenses that are currently shown on the Fuji Roadmap. So I’ve updated the roadmap for you :-)

XF 18-135mm f/3.5 to f/4.8
reminder

XF 18-135mm Reminder: We know it since the CP+ in Japan, but Fujifilm hasn’t still updated the roadmap: the 18-135 is getting faster (from f/3.5-f/5.6 to f/3.5-f/4.8). This lens will be the first weather sealed lens in the Fuji XF lineup. First rumors suggested that it would be released in April / May. But then Fuji changed its plans and delayed the release to probably June. This explains why Fujifilm has delayed the release… they are making it faster!

Stay Tuned because…

… because Fuji can insert new lenses to the roadmap in any moment. So I won’t stop it here and continue to investigate further for you.

Any hint and help would be highly appreciated. You can drop me an email (with a fake email account if you want), or use the rumor box. It will keep you anonymous (in this case you could use a nick-name so that I can recognize you in future).

Thanks in advance to anyone who decides to make my work here on Fujirumors a bit easier :-)

cheers

Samyang 16mm available in June? + Rokinon 300mm f/6.3 Mirror lens

 photo 984153_546227348756521_754498152_n_zpsee181c0a.jpg

As you know, Samyang just announced the Samyang 16mm f/2.0 X-mount (click here). According to a FR-reader from Malaysia, it will arrive in stores there at the end of June.

And more good news. At the facebook page of Rokinon here you can see the first images of the new 300mm f/6.3 mirror lens (for E-mount) and a video here. The X-mount version will follow.

Seems that Samyang is about to release a whole new range for the Fuji X-mount… and now we wait for Sigma to do the same ;)

To what belongs Sigma, I’ve read here that Sigma Corporation America said “Unfortunately Fuji did not use the Micro Four Thirds mount and doesn’t have the market share Sony does, I’m not going to say we will not make lenses for your mount but not at this time.” So, buy a Fuji X to convince Sigma :)

cheers
