Yongnuo 50mm F1.8X PRO for Fujifilm X Mount Coming in June and New Image on X-H2S

Yongnuo YN50mm f/1.8

FujiRumors has already told you that Yongnuo is teasing the Yongnuo 50mm F1.8X DA DSM PRO X Mount lens coming next.

And not only that! We have also shared lots of images of this (and four other) upcoming Yongnuo X mount lenses.

Now an image appeared on the Chinese social media Weibo (and spotted by the Japanese website Asobinet) showing the lens mounted on the Fujifilm X-H2S (you can see the image above).

Coming in June… with Aperture Ring?

If the google translation didn’t mess it up, I think Yongnuo said on their Weibo account that it will come in June.

And also, they say that it will use the same optical design of the Yongnuo 50mm f/1.8 for Sony E Mount, with the addition of an aperture ring (you can read it here).

Now I don’t know if it’s because it’s midnight here on the beautiful road of wine and my tired eyes are overseeing something, but I don’t really notice an aperture ring (well visible though in many of their other upcoming X mount lenses).

Anyway, if they did add the aperture ring, than that’s definitely a nice touch and I wish other lens manufacturers would have done the same when they adapted their Sony E mount glass to the X system.

The complete list of autofocus lenses Yongnuo is planing to launch is:

  • Yongnuo 11mm f/1.8
  • Yongnuo 23mm f/1.4
  • Yongnuo 33mm f/1.4
  • Yongnuo 50mm f/1.8
  • Yongnuo 56mm f/1.4

Some of these new Yongnuo lenses are going to have some stiff competition:

LEAKED IMAGES of Five Yongnuo Autofocus Fujifilm X Mount Lenses Coming (including 11mm f/2.8 and 50mm f/1.8)

We have already told you a while back that Yongnuo teased new autofocus X mount lenses coming for Fujifilm X mount, more precisely the 23mmF1.4, 33mmF1.4 and the 56mmF1.4.

But today we have an important update.

Not only we can share the first images of those lenses, but the leaked images also show the Yongnuo 11mm f/1.8 and the Yongnuo 50mm f/1.8.

So the complete list of autofocus lenses Yongnuo is planing to launch is:

LEAKED: New 33mm f/1.4 Autofocus X Mount Lens (Yongnuo?)

A new third party 33mm f/1.4 autofocus lens for Fujifilm X mount has now appeared on the Chinese social media platform Weibo (via Camerabeta).

I just got a new domestic automatic lens, 33mm F1.4, and the Fuji X mount version will be launched. At present, the price and release time are still uncertain. It is said that the price is very good. You can look forward to it.

The only thing we got is the image above.

The brand is still unkown, but some point out the similarity to some of the Yongnuo AF lenses available for other mounts.

Until now, besides the Fujinon XF 33mm f/1.4, we have the following third party 33mm f/1.4 autofocus lenses already:

When my Old XF23mmF1.4 Beat Sony Full Frame and other Wonderful Moments (but now Welcome my New XF23mmF1.4 R LM WR)

It’s Here

It’s never easy to let go gear you used and loved a lot. Gear like my good old Fujinon XF23mm f/1.4 R for example.

But now the time has come.

I’ve just received the new Fujinon XF23mm f/1.4 R LM WR and I’ve explained the reason why I bought it here already.

The Magic of Making Money by Buying Gear ;)

I bought the lens at Amazon IT here, as they had a better price than my local store and are also qualified for the Fujifilm cashback.

Convincing my wife of this investment went like this:

  1. I don’t need to pay for the lens, because I am paying it with the money I made from the X-T4 sale
  2. there is a sweet deal on the new XF23mmF1.4
  3. by buying the new XF23mmF1.4 I can get rid of the old XF23mm and make even more money
  4. I’ve booked a table for 2 for dinner at a fancy restaurant tomorrow. Yes, only for 2! It will be our first dinner without our son after 2+ years. Grandma is informed, she will watch after our son

This tells us one thing: photography is definitely an expensive hobby when you build up your system, but it gets much cheaper once you can fund new gear by selling old one.

Remember the Good

But I don’t let go my good old Fujinon XF23mm f/1.4 with a light heart, as I had many great moments with it. Let me name a few “episodes”.

Beating Sony ;)
