Fujifilm has released a new firmware for the brand new Fujiiflm X-H2S.

When Fujifilm launched the Fujifilm X-H2S, it also launched not one, but two battery grip options for it: the regular Fujifilm VG-XH and the file transmitting Fujifilm FT-XH.
So will this be the case also for the Fujifilm X-T5? Will it also get both options?
Well, apparently not.
A new source reached out to us and told us that there won’t be any battery grip for the Fujifilm X-T5.
This would mean that if you love to shoot with a battery grip, your only options will be the Fujifilm X-H2S and the upcoming Fujifilm X-H2. Or you can go with older models like the Fujifilm X-T4 with the VG-XT4 grip.

IN STOCK CHECK
I just shared the price for the 40MP Fujifilm X-H2, which will be of $1,999.
I called this a crazy good price in my original article, but given that there was some skepticism on my definition I think I need to give you a bit more context on why I consider the 40MP Fujifilm X-H2 very gently priced.
And in order to do that, we have to look at other high resolution non-stacked and 8K capable full frame cameras.
So let’s talk about it and compare it to how much you pay to get other 8K mirrorless cameras on the market today.
Sure there are also other 8K mirrorless cameras out there (the 50MP Sony A1 for $6,500 and the 45MP Nikon Z9 for $5,500), but those are also stacked, so they obviously cost more and they’d make the comparison very unfair
So at the moment, the only camera it makes a bit sense to compare the Fujifilm X-H2 is the Canon R5.
And as you can see, going for a high resolution and 8K capable APS-C body (X-H2) will cost you about half the price than going with the cheapest high resolution 8K mirrorless full frame camera out there (R5).
Plus, we can also expect better heat management from the Fujifilm X-H2, due to the APS-C sensor generating overall less heat than the FF sensor. And we can see already on the 6.2K Fujifilm X-H2S how incredibly well it handles heat.
The story is this.
I’ve received the supposed sensor sheets for the X-H2S and X-H2 from an anonymous source.
I was dubious, so I didn’t share them, as we don’t do clickbait here.
The anonymous source saw that FujiRumors could not be tricked into publishing it and after a few days shared the sensor sheet of the X-H2S with the whole world.
The whole world was hungry for clicks, hence published it.
At this point also the clickbait-reluctant FujiRumors had to publish it too, but I warned readers I am dubious about it.
Well, a trusted source wanted to dissipate any doubt, and passed me something, that lead me to write this follow up article.
And today we can also unveil the names for those sensors:
Get ready, as now fake sensor sheets with those IMX names will start appearing on the web. ;)
Anyway, I know what you think….
You think, “who the heck cares about the name of the sensor! But is that some sort of sheet showing a side-by-side specs comparison of the X-H2S and X-H2 sensor?”
Oh yes, it is a side by side specs comparison. And as you can imagine, I’ve asked for more details to my source and the permission to eventually share it.
Even with Covid on holidays, FujiRumors is always at work for you ;).
The Fujifilm X-H2S is shipping in Europe since a full week already.
BHphoto expects the Fujifilm X-H2S to be available on August 1. But don’t worry, many X-H2S samples will start shipping today.
Also other stores like Adorama and Moment still expect shipping start for today, July 7.
AmazonUS has the Fujinon XF150-600mmF5.6-8 in stock here (limited number, shipped and sold by AmazonUS).
For a short time it was listed for sale for $1,199 only (reg. $1,999) and I know some FR-readers grabbed it for that price. It was sold via Camera West, which we will see if they will honor that.
Also in case of the XF150-600mm BHphoto expects it to leave the warehouse on July 15. Adorama has still July 7 as date.

We all complaint about it at some point. But our complains might end in a not too distant future.
In fact, a trusted source just told us that Fujifilm is working on a new camera remote App. And by “new” I don’t mean a simple and small software update, but a major change.
And while it’s OK to be cautiously optimistic, I remember the last time Fujifilm gave the App an overhaul it was actually for the worst!
In fact, it was mostly just a stylistic redesign that made things worst, as it passed from a clearly visible white background with black text to a black background with a sometimes small gray and hardly readable text. Fujifilm’s goal was clearly to annoy us even more with their App.
Let’s hope this time it will bring substantial interface improvements as well as be more feature packed.
C’mon Fuji, you can get it right!
