I AM BACK on TWITTER – Now Let’s Rock the Rumor Show Again and Thanks for Your Help

I owe you an update.

As you know, I have been suspended from Twitter. I filed an appeal, but a random Twitter-bot confirmed my lifelong ban.

And yet…

With the help of a person (big thanks, you know who I mean!!), I was able to restore the account.

Of course Twitter apologized.

Of course Twitter said I never did anything to game the system.

Of course Twitter admitted their error.

And of course they told me what the cause of the ban was. But I won’t go into this now. I have no time to lose.

Here on FR we are elevated, we fly above and see beyond… and we like it to work hard for you guys!

So I have no time to lose, because I will now come back with full rumor power again, motivated like never before!

There will be RUMORS!

Vote Your Top Value for Money Fujifilm X MILC Cameras

Top Value for Money Fuji X?

I get lots, really lots of emails every month, from people asking me which Fujifilm camera they should buy.

This is a hard question for me to answer, since it is such a very subjective matter.

It’s not only a matter of price and specs, but, especially in the Fujifilm world, also of ergonomics, since Fuji offers so many different styled cameras, that from one side we are blessed with ergonomic choices, but on the other side it makes the choice more difficult as for example in the Sony world, where you get one camera body, that’s it, take it or leave it.

So what I do, is that I can give a general answer on what I consider the best value for money option in the Fujifilm world.

At the time of this post, I usually recommend the Fujifilm X-H1, especially now, where it can be purchased for $999 only with vertical grip and two spare batteries, and you even save more if bundled with the lenses below:

But I wanted to hear what you guys think is the best value for money camera.

In future, when somebody asks me about, I will just link to this article, and say “this is what thousands of Fujifilm shooters think is the best value for money Fuji camera“.

I will keep the fixed lens cameras out of the competition, and I will only list the most modern camera of each camera line.

REMEMBER: it’s NOT a survey about your favorite camera, but a survey about the best value for money camera.

Surprise: New Fujinon Prime Lens Not Yet on Roadmap Coming Next

New Fujinon Lens

If you look at Fujifilm’s latest X mount roadmap, you’ll notice only one lens listed there, that has not yet been announced: the Fujinon XF33mm f/1.0.

But if you were thinking, that being the only lens on the roadmap, it will be also the next one, then you were wrong.

In fact, according to our trusted sources, the next lens Fujifilm will launch for the X system will not be the Fujinon XF33mm f/1.0, but another prime lens, that is not yet listed on the official roadmap.

What could it be?

Well, Fujifilm officially asked us which lenses we would like next, and they offered us several options to vote for.

When we did that last time, Fujifilm took 1:1 your suggestions, and delivered exactly what the FujiRumors community asked for.

This time 16,500 of you voted our massive survey. Check out the results here, and let’s hope Fujifilm listened again.

Fujifilm Already Leaked the Unique Fujifilm X-Pro3 Tilt Screen – Do you Like it? POLL

Fujifilm SP-X Tilt Screen – via DPReview / Barney Britton

Fujifilm X-Pro3

We posted already the rumor about the Fujifilm X-Pro3 having a unique tilt screen.

I was thinking about it, and then it came back to my mind again!

I remembered the Fujifilm mock-ups Fujifilm showed us at the Fuji X Summit in Dubai here.

There was this strange Fujifilm SP-X mockup with a tilt screen that surely falls into the “unique” category. Did Fujifilm go ahead with this concept, and decided to put it into the Fujifilm X-Pro3?

The answer is yes!

  • full LCD screen only visible when tilted down. With closed screen, you MUST use viewfinder to compose your image (or go blind and random :) )

What does FujiRumors think about this design?

Well, by adding Munch’s masterpiece on the SP-X screen, I think have said it all. ;)

But what about you? Vote the poll down below.

This Guy left Fujifilm for Sony A7III and then Switched Back to Fujifilm X – Read Why Here

Damiano is an event photographer, who switched from Fujifilm X to Sony A7III. However, after a season with the Sony, he decided to switch back to Fujifilm X-T3 and X-H1.

So why did he switch back?

He discusses his choice in his 21 minutes long Italian video, but you guys are lucky, because Italian is one of the 3 languages I manage better than English, so I make a summary of his video for you down below.

Here we go:

Sony Launches A6600 and some Sweet APS-C Lenses – Now Stop Sleeping Fujifilm and Give us MORE LENSES!

Sony finally did it and released very nice APS-C cameras, the Sony A6600 and the Sony A6100full introduction here.

Personally I am very happy about the new Sony cameras, because in the high-end APS-C world, Fujifilm is basically without competition, and Sony is a terrific competitor, that I guess we all very much welcome.

But more than the two new camera bodies, I am particularly happy to see they also announced some interested lenses:

The first one is definitely a Pro lens, and goes right after Fujifilm’s XF16-55mm f/2.8.

The second one is a lens, Fujifilm officially considers to make, and in our huge future lens poll, it makes it into the top 10 of your lens wishes.

With Sony now treating with some fine camera bodies and lenses their APS-C system again, I can only hope that Fujifilm will step on the gas again, too.

In fact, this year, we got only 2 lenses for the X system (and one in the current roadmap for 2020):

Now this 100% confirms what we told you back in 2017, that Fujifilm will release 2/3 lenses for each system (X and GFX) a year.

But now look at the APS-C cameras, Fujifilm released (or will soon release) in 2019:

Now that’s just my opinion, but releasing more cameras than lenses in one year is just wrong.

Fujifilm should focus again on giving us more lenses! And as our recent mega-lens-survey showed, Fuji X shooters definitely have lots of unfulfilled needs there.

So it’s nice to see Sony coming out with some fine APS-C lenses. This might push Fuji to speed up their lens development.
