Fujifilm Registeres One More Camera. Total of 3 Unreleased Cameras Registered. Fujifilm X-T3, GFX 50R and XF10?

Upcoming Fujfilm Cameras

Fujifilm just registered one more camera, the FF 180004, that has the same radio parts of the Fujifilm X-H1 and X-E3 (registration here – via nokishita)

So we now have three unreleased cameras registered, that should be announced by the end of this summer:

  • FF 180002: Camera similar in size to Fujifilm X70. Very likely the Fujifilm XF10. To be announced July 5.
  • FF 180003: Camera with bluetooth version 4.2. We reported here.
  • FF 180004: Camera with radio parts like Fujifilm X-H1 and X-E3.

The two registered cameras could be Fujifilm GFX 50R and Fujifilm X-T3.

Fujifilm X-T2 Firmware Update 4.01 Released – Rollback to Previous Version. Fujifilm GFX, X-Pro2 and X-H1 Firmware Postponed

Fujifilm X-T2 Firmware Update

The latest major firmware update 4.00 for Fujifilm X-T2 has introduced quite some bugs, and evidently Fujifilm needs a bit more time to fix them all.

Hence, just half a second ago, Fujifilm released Fujifilm X-T2 firmware update 4.01, which basically re-uploads the older bug free firmare ver.3.00 (no slow motion, F-log & Co), as well a public apology (full press text below).

2 days ago we rumored that Fujifilm is working on a bug fix firmware update. Today’s rollback firmware confirms the rumor. Here are the bugs Fujifilm is working to solve:

  1. When RAW files, which were taken by X-T2 (before firmware ver.4.00), are converted in camera (ver.4.00) or by “FUJIFILM X RAW STUDIO”, they are not converted properly.
  2. When pressing the shutter button halfway under certain conditions, the live view can flicker.
  3. In rare cases, a hang-up can occur.

Thanks to Fujifilm for quickly delivering this transitional solution and we look forward to re-upload the bug-free Kaizen firmware soon.

National Geographic Photographers Shoot Fujifilm GFX 50S :: Hollywood Loves Fujifilm :: Famous Fujifilm X Shooters & More

Fujifilm Hall of Fame

As you might or might not know, 1 or 2 times a year, here on FujiRumors we curate a little column about famous X-shooters or Fujifilm cameras appearing in movies. The best way to check out the full coverage, is to head over to our fuji-x-forum famous X-shooter collection.

Today we would like to add a few more to the list.

We start with National Geographic photographer Corey Arnold. He gets his job done using the Fujifilm GFX 50S, as you can see in this video for a KIA ad [video embedded at the top of this blog post].

Regarding the “famous X shooters“, we have to add Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey, who shoots a Fujifilm X-Pro2 (more on facebook here and image below). And also top UFC fighter (former #1) Joanna Jedrzejczyk shoots Fujifilm [image below]

Also, Fujifilm made it again in various movies, not only in front of the screen, but they are also used to shoot official BTS images in Hollywood blockbusters (as it already happened with the Dunkirk movie).

First Look Review: Fujinon GF250mmF4 R LM OIS WR

Reaching Out: GF250mmF4 R LM OIS WR

The new GF250mmF4 R LM OIS WR and the optional GF1.4x TC WR teleconverter lens bring genuine telephoto capability to the evolving Fujifilm GFX medium format system. Featuring impressive detail resolution and three-dimensional subject rendering, the rather moderately priced GF250mm equals a 198 mm lens in 35 mm “full-frame” terms, and its reach can be stretched to 350 mm by attaching the new 1.4x teleconverter. Fujifilm’s GF product introductions are completed by two macro expansion tubes that work with almost all existing GF lenses and can turn the GF120mmF4 into a true 1:1 macro lens.

So is it all worth it? You should be able to decide for yourself after reading this first-look review based on pre-production samples of the GF250mmF4 R LM OIS WR, GF1.4x TC WR, MCEX-18G WR and MCEX-45G WR.

Fujifilm Unreleased “FF180001” Camera Registered

Fujifilm just registered an unreleased camera with the code name “FF 180001”.

So what could it be?

Well, here on FujiRumors we rumored the Fujifilm X-T100 since back in September 2017 and we warned you that it will not come in the first quarter of 2018 (within March). However, the first quarter is now over, so maybe we might see in the next few months finally.

The Fujifilm X-T100 will be DSLR-styled Bayer sensor camera with EVF (similar to X-T20), and be more affordable than the current X-T20 (see all X-T100 rumors).

Another option is the X70 successor, which, as we reported here, should have a Bayer sensor, since the current 24MP X-Trans sensor (and the extra processing power required), just creates too many overheating problems in such a small camera body.

I will work on it now and give you guys an update as soon as I can.

In the meantime, read what nokishita, who spotted the registration, writes about it:

“The communication module installed in Fujifilm’s unreleased camera passed overseas certification agencies. Since it is a different radio part from X-E3 and X-H1, it is made by Zakuti just like X-A5.

The distance information to the antenna does not include a protruding part such as a penta part so much, so it will not be very helpful, but the width that will be less uneven appears to be around 121 mm.”

Fujifilm GFX 50R: Concepts of the Most Affordable Digital Medium Format Camera Ever!

It’s no secret anymore that Fujifilm is about to launch the Fujifilm GFX 50R, a much cheaper and rangefinder alike version of the Fujifilm GFX 50S.

Since we shared the first rumor back in December and the latest rumor just last week, our terrific Fujifilm GFX facebook group members not only started dreaming about it, but also designed some concepts.

One of them is Mario C. who made 2 Fujifilm GFX 50R mock-ups (and GFX 100R) I will share in this article. He writes:

“Two ideas for a future Fujifilm GRX. The 100RD rangefinder or the 100XD viewfinder. Both with large LCD touch screen and DIGITAL LCD Dials. Price $2995. Would you like any of these cameras to become a reality? Which one? The RD or the XD?Digital LCD dials are fully programmable. Rotate to change the value. Push and rotate to change the control. Push once to go to a favorite value, push twice to go to another favorite… Etc.”

And remember, tomorrow, April 12, there will be a NON STOP LIVE BLOGGING here on FujiRumors, covering the launch of the Fujinon GF250mmF4 (& more). Stay tuned… and be ready to be blown away by its image quality ;)

Fujiflm GFX 50s Composit Showdown: Nikkor 105/5,6 VS Sinaron 105/4; LR VS X-Transformer; Helicon Focus VS Affinity Photo

GUEST POST FEATURE

guest post by Nathan Wright

Note: a mate of mine asked what Helicon Focus did, which RAW processor I used, and why I wasn’t clear about anything in the above video. I’m new to YouTube. Lots to learn. Many thanks for the constructive criticism. The RAW processors I used were Lightroom and XTransformer. Helicon Focus and Affinity Photo handledthe compositing.

Before we get started, Patrick has been kind enough to allow me to publish the following articles on Fuji Rumors.

I’m a still life and event professional based near Tokyo Japan. I specialise in jewellery, audio and camera gear, and ho humming the latest Star Wars movies. Some of my work can be seen at the following links:

Prior to purchasing the GFX I was using a Hasselblad digital back duo (CFV-50 and CFV-50c) attached to a Linhof M679cs via a sliding back. Great camera, stability like Gibraltar, amazing results. The backs were great, but accurately focusing a digital back on a slider or in live view was slow, fraught with computer-back-and-forthing, and in the end not worth it. The GFX’s EVF, LCD, and wireless tethering, as sub-optimal as they can be, are giant usability steps up from the system I previously used.

Fujinon GF 250mm F4 to Cost “Around $3,500” and First Hands-On Reports

We now have the first report of the Fujinon GF 250mm F4 shared at our GFX facebook group here.

The information was told to our group member Gulliermo (check out his instagram and his website guillermojackson.art) during a photography fair by a Fuji rep.

The price of the Fujinon GF 250mm F4 should be “around 3,500” and with 1.4x teleconverter “around $4,000“.

First impressions:

“Performance is top notch, on camera and zooming in it’s as sharp as the 110mm, super sharp! AF speed was very good, same as the 120mm macro and there wasn’t many light available.

The image stabilizer is impressive, I was shooting iso1600 1/40 of a sec f4 handheld with amazing results”

The discussion just started… make sure to follow it here.
