Forget About Fujifilm X-Pro4, X-E5, GFX100SII, X-T40, X80 & Co: the Only Camera Coming February 20 is the Fujifilm X100VI
What’s Coming
No, we will not hear anything about the Fujifilm X-Pro4 on February 20. Nothing.
And nothing also about the Fujifilm X-E5, or X-T40 or X-T300, or X80, or GFX100R.
The truth is this: the only camera to be announced on February 20 will be the Fujifilm X100VI.
I guess the Fujifilm X100VI is just too important for Fujifilm and it’s best that it does not get any distraction from other cameras on launch day.
Many of you guys might have seen it coming, due to the lack of rumors about other cameras.
But FujiRumors will make sure that the lack of rumors about other cameras will end soon ;).
Surprises?
But this does not mean we can’t get any surprises on February 20.
I still hope (no rumor) that Fujifilm will give us a new X mount roadmap, or makes major Kaizen firmware announcements, or they could even announce new lenses considering the fact that our sources said the X100VI is the only camera coming on February 20 (and we have leaked images of future XF lenses already months ago). But to be clear: as of now, I have not received information about other gear to come on February 20 (which does not mean it can’t come).
And Fujifilm has also teased a major XApp update, which hopefully might also be announced on February 20 (not a rumor, just a hope).
But they could also show us protoypes of gear to come.
As far as I can remember, at every X Summit something happened that I did not see coming, and I am confident that also this time we will get some surprises.
So definitely stay tuned on FujiRumors on February 20. We will cover it all, and you won’t miss anything.

Fujifilm X100VI Coming with with REALA ACE Film Simulation… and About Reala Ace Being Possible only with GFX100II Sensor
- ❤️ Fujifilm Film Simulation Group (100% Fuji Colors Power)
The Fujifilm X100VI will be Fujifilm’s first APS-C camera to feature the new REALA ACE film simulation.
Some of you might think that’s an obvious rumor. But others might think it can’t be true.
And the reason why some might think it can’t be true, is because when the Fujifilm GFX100 II was launched, Fujifilm engineers said this during the X summit about the new Reala Ace film simulation:
The new GFX100II sensor is the best fit Reala Ace. Without this sensor, we are not able to realize REALA film simulation in it
But according to our sources, what Fujifilm said is not true. Or maybe Fujifilm just used a very unlucky and confusing formulation.
Because Fujifilm is able to realize Reala Ace also without the Fujifilm GFX100II sensor and the first camera (besides GFX100II) to have it will be the Fujifilm X100VI.
Maybe it would have been better phrased if Fujifilm would have said like back then during the Fujifilm GFX100S and Nostalgic Negative launch:
For nostalgic negative, Fujifilm needs large sensor. It can’t be implemented simply to APS-C. Fujifilm needs more time to develop Nostalgic Negative for the APS-C system.
Now let’s cross fingers that Reala Ace will come via firmware update also to all other 5th generation Fujifilm cameras.

X-Trans Roundup and Beyond
Fujifilm colors are loved by many. And it looks like they can be useful also when you try to apply a certain look to your AI created images. Andrea, from SonyAlphaRumors, used Film Simulation names for his AI images and you can see the results in the video above (and also here).

RAW Power
RAW Power added support for Fujifilm GFX100 II. RAW Power is an App that brings Aperture style interface and functions to Mac Photos (it can also run as standalone). Above you can see an image I took and that I tweaked using RAW Power directly in my Photos App. You can open RAW power and edit within the Photos App by clicking “edit” in the Photos App, then click the three little dots and select RAW Power (image instruction here)

Fujifilm X Summit on February 20: What’s On Top of Your Wishlist? X100V Successor, GFX100SII, New Lenses and What Else – VOTE NOW
We told you that the next Fujifilm X Summit will take place on February 20, 2024.
I thought it could be nice to see what your top wish is as far as announcements goes.
So I took all the Fujifilm gear listed on our Fujifilm 2024 overview and made a survey out of it.
To be clear, I am not saying that everything in this list will come in 2024. Some of it will come for sure, some of it has only been vaguely hinted by Fujifilm managers, and some are just mere wishes and hopes of the FujiRumors community.
To see more in detail which gear will surely come, which maybe, and which one probably not, check out our full Fujifilm 2024 overview article.
With that said, now drop your vote :).

Fujifilm FF240001 Registration Found (3rd Unreleased Product): The Rumors Go Wild with Fujifilm GFX25, GFX100SII, X-Pro4, X100 and More
On the Chinese Weibo (linked below), the patent for a third unregistered Fujifilm camera has surfaced, the FF240001.
So we are now at a total of three registered cameras that have yet to be released.
- FF230002
- FF230003
- FF240001
From here all possible speculations start and you can read them down below.
How do I know these are just made up speculations and not rumors?
Well, because there are so many errors I will have to correct ;). In short here are the “rumors”.
- What they say is Sure (+ Possible)
- 4 to 6 cameras coming in 2024
- GFX100SII with X-T5 retro style body and no 8K video and lack of many video functions
- X100V successor almost done. 40 MP biggest possibility
- Highly Reliable
- X-Pro4 updated to X-T5 performance with normal flip screen. But another source it has still the mini-LCD on the back. New film simulation
- X100V with IBIS and OIS and 160MP High resolition mode
- Generally Reliable
- X100V with 50mm mode (20MP resolution)
- 2024 is the year of GFX, with GFX100SII and several GF lenses with good focus performance
- GFX25 coming mainly for video shooting (multiple sources confirm this)
- Basically Impossible
- GFX200 with 200 Megapixel
- X-T40 ready to be released with 40 megapixel
- No Reliability Rating
- X-E series update in summer 2024
- GF 14-20mm coming
- 2x TC for GFX
But hey, it’s online. Let’s have fun even if it’s just made up stuff :).
Fujifilm GFX100S II Coming First Months of 2024: Speculating about Differences to GFX100 II
Fujifilm GFX100SII
Speculated Specs and Questions
- Fujifilm GFX100S – save $1,600 (ends Dec. 31)
BHphoto / AmazonUS / Adorama / Moment - GFX 50S II body or w/GF35-70 – save $1,000 (ends Dec. 31)
BHphoto / AmazonUS / Adorama / Moment - Fujifilm GFX100 II – New
BHphoto / Amazon / Adorama
We recently told you that the Fujifilm GFX100S II will come in the first months 2024.
So the question now is: what could be the differences or similarities between the Fujifilm GFX100S II and the Fujifilm GFX100 II?
To be clear: these are just speculations, not rumors.
- lower price than GFX100II
- lower EVF resolution
- still no battery grip option
- lower bursts rates than GFX100II
- smaller body
- a bit inferior video specs (due to smaller body and not optimal heat dissipation)
- no full size HDMI and Ethernet port
I think the list above makes a whole lot of sense. But now it gets tougher and the question are:
- will the GFX100 II have the new optimized 100MP sensor (improved readout circuits, microlenses etc) or will it use the older non-optimized 100MP sensor to keep price as low as possible?
- will it have only SD-card slots or also a CFexpress card slot?
- will it offer Frame.io integration in camera body or not?
And last but not least (and maybe most importantly):
- will the GFX100S II still have the PSAM layout or will retro dials return on GFX with the GFX100S II?
These are just some of my personal non-rumor based speculations and questions. Feel free to add yours in the comments below.
As usual, all the answers will follow on FujiRumors.com.
