LEAKED: This is the FUJIFILM X-Pro3 – Dual Screen and Button Layout (Sketches of X-Pro3 Top, Front and Backside)

Fujifilm X-Pro3

Yesterday, our top trusted Japanese source contacted me, asking if the FujiRumors community would like to get some accurate sketches of the Fujifilm X-Pro3.

I told the source that I was hiking on my mountains and enjoying some local dance tradition show with my wife, so if it maybe can do that on Monday, or I’d have to pass my whole Sunday on the computer.

So, fellow readers, I hope you can understand and apologize me for leaking 24 hours later, but now it’s Monday, and we’d like present to you…

… the Fujifilm X-Pro3! :)

The source just quickly drew the Fujifilm X-Pro3 for us now (100% pencil and paper work due to issues with its graphic drawing tablet).

The rumor storm will continue, so stay tuned on FujiRumors and…

A MUST for X-PRO Lovers

Fellow FR-readers, after letting you know about the strange tilt screen and the lack of IBIS on the X-Pro3, I have another X-Pro3 tidbit for you.

The D-Pad is gone in the Fujfilm X-Pro3.

Previous X-Pro3 rumors:

Fujifilm X-Pro3 has No In Body Image Stabilization (IBIS)

Fujifilm X-Pro3

The Fujifilm X-Pro3 has no IBIS.

The super-discounted Fujifilm X-H1 will remain the only Fujifilm X series camera with IBIS also after the X-Pro3 launch in the second half of October.

Fujifilm Already Leaked the Unique Fujifilm X-Pro3 Tilt Screen – Do you Like it? POLL

Fujifilm SP-X Tilt Screen – via DPReview / Barney Britton

Fujifilm X-Pro3

We posted already the rumor about the Fujifilm X-Pro3 having a unique tilt screen.

I was thinking about it, and then it came back to my mind again!

I remembered the Fujifilm mock-ups Fujifilm showed us at the Fuji X Summit in Dubai here.

There was this strange Fujifilm SP-X mockup with a tilt screen that surely falls into the “unique” category. Did Fujifilm go ahead with this concept, and decided to put it into the Fujifilm X-Pro3?

The answer is yes!

  • full LCD screen only visible when tilted down. With closed screen, you MUST use viewfinder to compose your image (or go blind and random :) )

What does FujiRumors think about this design?

Well, by adding Munch’s masterpiece on the SP-X screen, I think have said it all. ;)

But what about you? Vote the poll down below.

Fujifilm X-Pro3 Coming with Unique Tilt Screen

Fujifilm X-Pro3

According to our trusted sources, the Fujifilm X-Pro3 will feature a “unique” tilt screen.

Not a fully articulating one (like we know it from Panasonic cameras), not a 3 or 2 way tilting one of current Fujifilm cameras, and not even the smart Fujifilm X-T100 tilt screen, but something different.

Hey guys, if I open the rumor season now, will you follow me on Facebook, Flipboard, RSS-feed, Twitter, Youtube?

Fujifilm GFX100 Development Story with GF Lenses Autofocus Speed Ranking

Fujifilm GFX100

Fujifilm has published a first Fujifilm GFX100 development story article.

They start with discussing the definition of the sensor, medium format or large format.

There is not much point in having a discussion as to how to call the format of 44 x 33mm. We tend to seek for the historical ground from the days of silver halide film; 6 x 4.5 is medium format, and 4 x 5 inch or larger is large format, but the explanation does not have any suggestion other than historical legitimacy.

in terms of resolution, the current 44 x 33mm format surpasses that of the 6 x 4.5 and even the 8 x 10. There still is the unique color reproduction of the silver halide films, but if the medium and the large format is designed for large prints, then there is no point in seeking historical ground to call what format GFX is. Because with the GFX100, we can have the prints even larger.

The core part of the article is the comparison between Fujifilm GFX100 and GFX50 in terms of AF speed.

The major change from X-Pro1 to X-Pro2 was the installation of phase detection AF. The same goes for the GFX100 when compared to the change from GFX 50S / 50R. Furthermore, the AF algorithm of the GFX100 is same as that of the X-T3, meaning not only is it fast, but is now also tougher against in low light conditions, high frequency subjects and low contrast subjects.

To put simply, the GFX100 has the agility like the X-T3 and achieves the descriptive power like the 8×10. There have never been a system like this before. This is a whole new experience.

The lenses, that have the biggest benefit in terms of AF speed thanks to the phase detection AF pixels on the GFX100 are the GF63mm and GF45mm.

GF lenses autofocus speed on GFX100 (with latest GF lens firmware udpate):

  • GF 23mmF4 R LM WR – 0,140 sec
  • GF 45mmF2.8 R WR – 0,183 sec
  • GF 63mmF2.8 R WR – 0,186 sec
  • GF 110mmF2 R LM WR – 0,208 sec
  • GF 120mmF4 R LM OIS WR Macro – 0,181 sec
  • GF 250mmF4 R LM OIS WR – 0,212 sec
  • GF 32-64mmF4 R LM WR – 0,168 sec

These Guys Switched from Full Frame to Fujifilm APS-C and Are Happy About it

Fujifilm Vs Full Frame

So it’s time for another comparisons roundup, this time focusing on people switching to Fujifilm APS-C from Sony, Nikon and Canon full frame, and believe it or not, they are happy with their switch!

In the Fujifilm world, if you really want a bigger sensor, you go Fujifilm GFX, which offers an almost 4 times bigger sensor than APS-C and hence can really offer that ultimate jump in image quality, that the jump from APS-C and FF can not offer.

And before you start complaining, we remind you that we have also shared dedicated roundups of people unhappy with Fujifilm.
