Merry Christmas to All FujiRumors Readers!

Is there a shortcut to happiness?

Well, I don’t know. Maybe there is.

Is it money?

Maybe money can help you to get rid of some of the stress and worries in life. Unless you have to stress yourself to make that money in the first place and worry to accumulate and guard it later on. In which case money would turn from being your (good) servant to being your (bad) master, as Michel de Montaigne would say.

But what I can tell you is who are the most happy people I’ve met in my life.

The most happy people I have met in my life were not those with the most money, but those who simply and genuinely enjoyed their relationships.

And the most happy of all were the kids, for whom relationships are everything. Those I meet since almost 20 years of teaching in my classrooms, those I met during my volunteering work and, when I was lucky enough, the kid that I met inside myself.

Kids are superior beings. Superior, but also particularly fragile and sometimes at the mercy of unfavorable conditions they carry no responsibility for.

But luckily there are some, who made it their mission to take care of exactly those kids. I’ve met a few of them in my life, and one of them is Saveth from KNGO*.

Now, I am no longer able to travel nearly as much as I did in the past. Life got me. I have a family, jobs and responsibilities that simply don’t give me the freedom to continue that type of life (but they give me many other joys). And I guess many of you are also, like me, busy to make sure we get our own stuff sorted out day by day.

But there is still something we can do for people like Saveth and the kids they take care of: make a small donation.

Because money can’t buy happiness. But it can buy school books, pencils, pay teachers, build classrooms and more. Because what’s just a few bucks for us, can make a whole of difference to them.

This is why, if you haven’t done yet any donation this year so far, I can warmly recommend you to donate to our friends at KNGO.

Here is an indication on what can be done with your money.

  • 20 Euro – one student is provided with a one-year supply of school books, folders, and pencils
  • 50 Euro covers all costs for one student for 6 months
  • 100 Euro gives a one-year scholarship to one student (the option I picked also this year myself)

Thanks to anyone of you, who decides to make a small donation to KNGO.

*How do I know KNGO?
I was in Cambodia to make fair trade T-shirts made by the amazing guys at Tonle. During my travel I stumbled on KNGO and I loved their work so much that I decided right there to donate all profits from the T-shirt sales to them. We ended up raising $5,000 for them.

Note: in the video below I silence the moment when I say “Italia”, because it was a time when I still did not want people (aka Fujifilm ;)) to know where I am located. The kids were at the Los Quinchos project in Nicaragua.

It’s Christmas time. Time for wishlists and dreams.

And here on FujiRumors this means wishing and dreaming of gear that, if not this year, Santa Claus will hopefully make find us under the Christmas tree for 2024.

So here is a selection of wishes that I have received from FujiRumors community and that I now I am happy to share with all of you. Feel free to let us know if there is something among it that you’d really love to get.

I sort of made my own wishlist too, where I talk about three cameras that would push Fujifilm overnight exactly where they dreamed to be by 2019. Dear Fujifilm, listen to me, and Canon, Sony and Nikon will tremble!

Feel free to read (and watch) it all down below.

Fujifilm X-T6 in 2024? Let’s Talk about it!

After I have shared my Fujifilm 2024 – What’s Coming article, lots of you dropped me comments and emails, indicating that there should be also a Fujifilm X-T6 in 2024.

The reason why so many of you believe 2024 will be the year of Fujifilm X-T6, is because the X-T line got refreshed every two years:

  • 2014 = X-T1
  • 2016 = X-T2
  • 2018 = X-T3
  • 2020 = X-T4
  • 2022 = X-T5
  • 2024 = X-T6?

So an X-T6 has to come in 2024, right?

Well, it could be.

I have no rumors telling me it won’t come in 2024. So it’s possible.

But the list above does not really tell the whole story.

What to Expect from Fujifilm in 2024 (and What Probably Not)

Fujifilm 2024

In November we have shared quite some rumors (as you can see here). And not only that! In our previous 2024 outlook, we forgot to add gear that Fujifilm has already pre-announced to come in 2024 as well as give you a look into rumored third party AF lenses.

That’s why we need to update our view into the Fujifilm year 2024.

All the X/GFX rumors come from our sources, whereas the speculations are often based on hints and comments that managers gave in interviews.

Remember, Fujifilm will launch 3 or more cameras in the first months of 2024. This means there are still more cameras we have to (and we will) leak here on FujiRumors.

X/GFX GEAR COMING FOR SURE

Fujifilm FF240001 Registration Found (3rd Unreleased Product): The Rumors Go Wild with Fujifilm GFX25, GFX100SII, X-Pro4, X100 and More

On the Chinese Weibo (linked below), the patent for a third unregistered Fujifilm camera has surfaced, the FF240001.

So we are now at a total of three registered cameras that have yet to be released.

  • FF230002
  • FF230003
  • FF240001

From here all possible speculations start and you can read them down below.

How do I know these are just made up speculations and not rumors?

Well, because there are so many errors I will have to correct ;). In short here are the “rumors”.

  • What they say is Sure (+ Possible)
  • 4 to 6 cameras coming in 2024
  • GFX100SII with X-T5 retro style body and no 8K video and lack of many video functions
  • X100V successor almost done. 40 MP biggest possibility
  • Highly Reliable
  • X-Pro4 updated to X-T5 performance with normal flip screen. But another source it has still the mini-LCD on the back. New film simulation
  • X100V with IBIS and OIS and 160MP High resolition mode
  • Generally Reliable
  • X100V with 50mm mode (20MP resolution)
  • 2024 is the year of GFX, with GFX100SII and several GF lenses with good focus performance
  • GFX25 coming mainly for video shooting (multiple sources confirm this)
  • Basically Impossible
  • GFX200 with 200 Megapixel
  • X-T40 ready to be released with 40 megapixel
  • No Reliability Rating
  • X-E series update in summer 2024
  • GF 14-20mm coming
  • 2x TC for GFX

But hey, it’s online. Let’s have fun even if it’s just made up stuff :).

BREAKING: This is Fujifilm’s Next MILC Camera Coming Early 2024

The Fujifilm MILC Camera

We recently told you that Fujifilm will launch more cameras in the first months of 2024 than in the entire year of 2023.

Considering we got these two cameras in 2023, this means we will get “3 or more cameras” in just the first months of 2024.

And we recently also spotted a registration for a second unreleasd Fujifilm product, the FF230003.

We also asked you guys which cameras you think will come (you voted here), and judging by the results, I can say that you didn’t see that one coming.

In fact, according to our trusted sources, the next mirrorless interchangeable lens camera that Fujifilm will launch is the Fujifilm GFX100S II.

Now you know the true reasons why Fujifilm is selling the Fujifilm GFX100S at a massive discount.

Now, there was the speculation out there that Fujifilm had merged the GFX100 and GFX100S into one single camera line, the GFX100II.

But nope, that’s not the case. And it comes from multiple trusted sources, which means it is 100% accurate and I will shut down FujiRumors forever if it does not become true.

And to be sure there are no misunderstandings, here a few things that must be clear:

  • the GFX100SII is the next mirrorless interchangeable lens camera to come
  • yes, it could be also the next Fujifilm camera to come overall, but I have no idea if maybe the X100R will come before the GFX100SII

But my work is far from done.

We might know two cameras that come, but there will be three or more coming in the first months of 2024.

So if neither the X100V successor nor the GFX100SII is the camera you were waiting for, then don’t worry, because we will get even more soon.

Rumor Update Regarding Fujifilm’s Next XF Lens

From the top of a mountain peak in the Dolomites (see video here) we told you this:

We said no more no less than this.

However, I see the rumor is spreading the wrong way around the internet, so sources have now reached us to out again and would like me to clarify.

So I’ll do it now.

RUMOR: Big Start for Fujifilm in 2024 with Multiple (and Record?) Camera Announcements

Starting Big in 2024

So, we told you that there won’t be any new Fujifilm gear announcement in 2023.

But don’t worry, Fujifilm is working full power right now.

In fact, we have been told that in the “first months of 2024″ Fujifilm will announce more cameras than in the entire year 2023.

Considering that we got a total of 2 cameras in 2023, this means we can expect three or more cameras coming in the first months of 2024.

I have checked back, and as far as I can see, in 13 years of X/GFX series there has been only one year in which Fujifilm launched more than two cameras in the first months of the year (without counting the entry level cameras that were made by Xacti Corporation and not by Fujifilm).

It was back in 2017 when Fujifilm released the Fujifilm GFX 50S, Fujifilm X100F and Fujifilm X-T20.

But even if we would count the Xacti cameras (X-T100, X-T200, X-A5, X-A20 etc), we would get a total of 3 years out of 13 in which Fujifilm kicked off the year with more than two cameras, and also in that case we reach 3 cameras max (as in 2017).

So, by launching three or more Fujifilm cameras (made by Fujfiilm) in the first months of 2024, Fujifilm is out for a record release rate, matching or exceeding the announcements we had only once in 13 years of Fujifilm X/GFX history.

Not bad ;).

One Camera is Sure

Now, thanks to our sources we know already what one of these cameras will be: the replacement of this camera here.

What will the other cameras be?

Well, you know what you have to do: just stay tuned on FujiRumors, and you will know it.

And what about lenses?

Well, we know that the next XF lens to come will be the replacement of this lens here.

But even though I have no further solid lens rumors right now, I do hope to be able to share more soon.

Sony A9III: The Revival of Global Shutter and a Glimpse into the Fujifilm X-H3s?

The “Old” Global Shutter is Back

The Sony A9III has hit the market.

In the headline I wrote that this is the revival of the global shutter, simply because global shutter cameras are nothing new. In fact, cameras with older CCD sensors already featured a global shutter.

But as back in the days of CCD sensor cameras, the global shutter is not the answer to all problems, and as just everything in life it comes with its Pros and Cons. Let’s talk about it.
