SPECS COMPARISON: Fujifilm X-H2 vs Canon R5, Sony A1 and Nikon Z9 8K Cameras (To Be Updated)

You’re right. Every comparison is unfair.

Different sensor sizes, or different megapixel, or different features, or different sensor technology, or different price range, or different…. you got it, there is always something.

But since comparing the very same camera with the very same firmware would be awefully boring, I thought we enter the world of unfair comparisons and compare the upcoming 40 megapixel Fujifilm X-H2 with other 8K capable mirrorless cameras.

So we take a look at:

Of course the specs list of the Fujiiflm X-H2 is not complete. Nokishita will soon take care of it and help us to extend it and when that happens I will share an updated article.

However, even now we have quite some core specs available, which help us to get a very clear idea on how the X-H2 will perform.

Fujifilm X-H2: These are All the Rumored Specs (so far) and Some of Them Apply also to Fujifilm X-T5

For your convenience, here are all the rumored Fujifilm X-H2 specs available on the internet (and 100% of those rumored specs have been leaked by FujiRumors ;)).

Fujifilm X-H2

Keep in mind that, since it uses the exactly same body of it’s faster brother, the Fujifilm X-H2S, many specs not listed here can be figured out by looking at the X-H2S.

So for example we know it will take one CFexpress Type B and one UHS-II card, it will have a wonderful EVF, a PSAM dial, fully articulating screen and what more.

Also, it will obviously have the same AF tracking features of the Fujifilm X-H2S, so subject/animal tracking will also be on the X-H2.

The list above mainly focuses on the differences between the Fujifilm X-H2S and the Fujifilm X-H2.

And keep in mind, the X-H2 and X-T5 will share the same core specs (sensor and processor), so I’d not be surprised to see quite of those specs come also to the X-T5. For example, I’d expect the Fujifilm X-T5 to have base ISO 125, improved ISO performance and I hope also pixel shift and 8K video (although this is just a wish of mine, not at all a rumor, so please don’t sh*tstorm on me if the X-T5 does not have that).

In any case it is worth also for X-T line lovers to follow the X-H2 rumors, as the X-T5 might encapsulate lots (hopefull all) of the goodness the X-H2 will unveil on September 8.

LEAKED: Fujifilm X-H2 Additional Video Specs: 4K/60P and 1080/120p (in addition to 8K/30p)

We already told you that the Fujifilm X-H2 will shoot 8K/30p video.

Here is an update regarding the video specs of the Fujifilm X-H2 and we are also going to compare them with the ones on the Fujiiflm X-H2S.

  • X-H2: 8K/30p
    X-H2S: no 8K
  • X-H2: 4K/60p
    X-H2S: 4K/120p
  • X-H2: 1080/120p
    X-H2S: 1080/240p

If you want the highest video resolution possible, you better go for the Fujifilm X-H2 with 8K video. But if slow motion or the least amount of rolling shutter possible is your priority, then it’s best to go with the Fujifilm X-H2S.
