Fujifilm’s Classic Negative Film Simulation Coming via Firmware Update to X-T3, GFX100 and X-T30

As FujiRumors already told you here, along with the Fujifilm X-Pro3 on October 23, Fujifilm will also launch the new Classic Negative film simulation.

Classic Negative has a lovely nostalgic and vintage touch to it (see images below).

The good news I hear from sources:

  • Fujifilm will upgrade X Processor 4 cameras (Fujifilm X-T3, X-T30 and GFX100) with Classic Negative film simulation

Sadly (if the rumor is correct), my lovely little X-E3 won’t get it.

DJI now has a new Ronin-SC RSS control cable that allows more functions for Fujifilm cameras on the Ronin-SC gimbal.

You can pre-order it now at BHphoto, DJI store, AmazonUS and Adorama

The cable enables Ronin-SC to control of Fujifilm cameras to record videos, take photos, and enable autofocus

RUMOR: New Film Simulation Coming with Fujifilm X-Pro3… and to Fujifilm X-T3, X-T30 and GFX100 via Firmware Update?

The Fujifilm X-Pro3 will come with a new film simulation.

I think this rumor will not only make future Fujifilm X-Pro3 owners happy, but also owners of Fujifilm X-T3, X-T30, GFX100, since those cameras share the same X Processor 4 and this could mean Fujifilm can update those cameras with this new film simulation.

TO BE CLEAR: I have no rumors that Fujifilm will update all X Processor 4 cameras with this new film simulation.

Recently Elia Locardi met Minami-San, Fujifilm’s color guru for the last 50 years. Minami-San developed the original Fujifilm film colors and is now responsible for the film simulation development. You can read the whole story here.
