Five Reasons to Switch to Fujifilm for Weddings, From Full Frame DSLR to Fuji X, Worth it? and More Switch Stories

Fuji X Switch Stories

FujiRumors is a 100% independent space.

I don’t get free or discounted gear from Fujifilm, I don’t get special customer service, I don’t get invitations and free flights/hotels to launch parties, I don’t get free t-shirts or hats… and that’s good so.

I wake up, I go to work, I come back home, I blog and I write whatever I want.

This independency allows me to write for example articles like the ones below, that Fujifilm surely did not appreciate:

So actually I don’t think there is one brand out there, that we attacked more than Fujifilm ;).

But my job is not to make Fujifilm happy, but to be loyal to those of you, who decide to read this blog. And hence, I will report everything. Fujifilm does not pay me a penny, and if this blog runs at all, it’s only because you decide to support it.

On the other hand, I can’t hide that I simply fell in love with Fujifilm many years ago, and it’s a love that gets stronger as the years pass by.

So, while I will keep up delivering you everything, every now and then, I also feel like sharing some good switch stories of people, who talk so passionate about Fujifilm.

It’s the same enthusiasm that caught me many years ago, hence, I will share a few of these stories today.

Check them out or not, it’s up to you.

Enjoy your weekend, love you all (even if don’t shoot Fuji ;) )
Patrick

Meike MK 6-11mm f/3.5 Fisheye Lens for FUJIFILM X and Full X Mount Meike Lenses Overview

B&H Photo has published a practical Meike lenses overview article on their website here.

I found it interesting because I spotted one lens, I think I have never reported about it here on FujiRumors, the Meike MK-6-11mm f/3.5 Fisheye Lens for FUJIFILM X. So I’ll catch up today, share it with you and update the Chinese lens list below.

Not listed in the BHphoto Meike overview article, are re-branded Meike lenses, like the Neewer 35mm f/1.2 for Fujifilm X, which costs $99 only.

I also discovered that they actually make autofocus lenses, namely the Meike MK-85mm f/1.8, which is available for Canon EF mount only.

FUJIFILM ROYAL: Long Live King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and Fujifilm X Shooter

Fujifilm, The Choice of Royals

Weekend curiosity:

Guys, it’s time for me to quit my teacher job, leave my family, my little rented apartment, my lovely mountains, pack my stuff into my 10 years old Mazda2 and move up North to Sweden.

Why?

Because I want to be ruled by a Fujifilm X shooter! :)

In fact, thanks to a tip from a FujiRumors readers, I just discovered that Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden, is a Fujifilm X shooter.

He uses either a Fujifilm X-T10 or X-T20, and very likely soon a Fujifilm X-T30 :).

His lens is the Queen under the kit lenses, the XF18-55, a stellar lens…. not like a SONY kit lens, which uses the bottom of a bottle as front element ;).

So, Fujifilm might not be good enough for professional photographers, but at least it’s good enough for Kings and for…
