First LEAKED Image of the Fujifilm Instax SQ (not SQ10)

It’s Instax Time

In the last few days, I’ve shared here on FujiRumors the first images that surfaced on the web (on facebook) of the Instax Square SQ10. After the leak, I’ve investigated further, and informed you that the Instax Square cameras will have a microSD card slot and be a digital/film hybrid.

I also asked sources if there will be other Instax Square versions, and they confirmed. For example, there will be also the Instax SQ (in addition to the SQ10).

One source in particular promised me to grab a camera and share an image for all of us… and so it did today. This is of course exclusive for FR-readers, so you won’t find it anywhere else on the web. But you are free to spread the word on forums/websites etc… if you don’t mind the watermark ;)

The Instax Square SQ10 will be a hybrid digital/film camera, with microSD card slot. The SQ instead will have a useful selfie-mirror, that sits right under the “Fujirumors” logo.

Btw, in case you missed yesterday’s update: As pointed out by instax_square on their instagramit’s not the first time Fujifilm combined a digital camera with an Instax Camera. Fujifilm Finepix PR21(1999) vs Fujifilm Instax Square SQ10 2017)

LEAKED: Fujifilm Instax Square Images (Instax Square SQ10)… with Huge LCD screen on the Back

So guys, these could be the first images of the Instax Square… or at least one of the Instax Square version, the Instax SQ10

Take it with a grain of salt for now, but if you compare it to the Instax Square teaser video that Fujifilm released months ago, where you can see small details of the camera, this leaked image really looks very close to it.

Note the big screen at the back and the six buttons… something seems to be quite different compared to other Instax cameras… are we all having the same thought right now, right? :)

I guess that, like with all instax models, we will see many variations of the Squre Instax cameras and in all possible colors. Instax is a winner, and it’s years now that Instax dominates the sales ranking. As also said in a recent documentary about Fujifilm, the Instax factory can’t keep up with the demand.

The wait seems to be almost over :-)

Bullet Time: Creating Animated GIFs for Weddings with 7 Fujifilm X70 Cameras

When I checked my Twitter this morning, I saw that JLBwedding shared with me this cool Tweet:

In summer 2016 he experimented with creating animated GIFs using multiple cameras. The goal was to animate a moment, frozen in time, from several angles. For doing this, he used 7 Fujifilm X70 cameras.

JLBweddings writes:

I tried two different triggering methods. The first was JJC JM-N(II) radio frequency wireless shutter remote controls. My later setup involved tearing apart and wiring together seven corded camera releases. Both methods worked and both failed

Do you like it? Then make sure to check out jlbwedding here to know how it works exactly and see more samples. Read also his 2016 highlights here.

Other wedding photographer like it to make small video clips out of still images, like Kevin Mullins, as you can see in his video below.

Fujifilm Manager: GFX & X-T2 Demand Higher than Expected :: Fujinon 200/2.8 or 200/2 :: Fujifilm X-E3 :: X-T2 Kaizen & More

These are busy days for journalists at the CP+ in Japan, and the next interview with Fujifilm Managers just hit the web, this time again with Mr Makoto Oishi. Some excerpts:

  • We’ve sold more X-T2’s than we ever expected.”
  • X-T2 shipping problems due to Kumamoto earthquake. But “from this year we’re in a better position and we have enough stock.”
  • The request to control ISO on X-T2 via FN button/command dial instead of dedicated dial is something that Fujifilm “should consider” to add “maybe a firmware upgrade
  • GFX more demand than we expected
  • “When we announce our new telephoto prime we also need a higher performance body”.
  • “We’re still thinking about the focal length and the aperture. There’s a big difference between a 200mm f/2.8 and a 200mm f/2 – they’re totally different.” – NOTE: a rumor of last year, February 2016, said 200mmF2.
  • X70 was successful last year and Fujifilm wants to keep small fixed lens compact cameras in their lineup – NOTE: X80 Rumor
