FUJINON Premista PL Mount Cine Lenses Cover Fujifilm GFX sensor

Michael Bulbenko from Fujifilm said in an interview (video below) that the recently introduced PL-mount (and super expensive) Fujinon Premista 28-100mm T2.9 and Fujinon Premista 80-250mm T2.9-3.5 cover the Fujifilm GFX100 sensor.

Hence, you can use them with a PL to G mount adapter.

The Fujifilm manager also said, that they do not plan to release a G mount version of their Fujinon Premista lenses.

While talking about the Fujifilm GFX100 color reproduction, Michael says: “as weired as it sounds, we are a film company, so we know how to get colors right“. I like that!

FujiRumors already told you that the same guy, who developed the Velvia film, has been involved also in the Velvia digital film simulation development.

Fujifilm X/GFX Lenses for Wedding Photographers – What’s Your Top Pick? (POLL)

BHphoto published an article about which Fujifilm X and GFX lenses are best for wedding photography.

You can read the aricle here.

I am happy they mention also the Fujinon XF 18-135 as an option. A lens good enough to snap the offcial images for the Dunkirk blockbuster should also be good enough for other professional use.

I thought to grab this opportunity to ask the Fujifilm wedding photographers out there, what you consider the best lenses for wedding photography. Feel free to vote the poll down below.

So, the jury is in and a record-breaking 14,000+ of you guys voted the lens future polls!

It was an exciting head to head battle and for the overall results check this article.

For the X system, I have picked the most voted prime and most voted zoom lens, since last time we launched a huge lens request poll, Fujifilm also picked our top prime and top zoom, and made our wishes become reality.

For the G system, the selection was smaller, so I picked only the most voted lens.

When it comes to firmware wish lists, the race is extremely tight. Check the winner down below.

Fujifilm top manager Toshi Ilda said during the Fujifilm X Summitafter seeing the results, maybe next week, you will see a new lens roadmap“, and we don’t want to miss our opportunity to impress Fujifilm with our feedback. ;)

FUJIFILM’s Priority: Refresh Older Lenses or Release New Glass? – VOTE NOW

Next Fujinon Lenses

I told you over 1 year ago, that Fujifilm will not launch more than 2/3 lenses for each system (X and G) a year, at least not until Fujifilm will boost lens production by 70% within 2020.

So I thought it’s time that you guys tells what Fujifilm should prioritize.

Should Fujifilm focus on releasing MK II versions of older glass or on releasing complete new lenses not yet covered in focal length and/or aperture by existing ones?

And I remind you that almost 8,000 of you guys already voted on which older Fujinon lens Fujifilm should update next. You can check out the results here.
