Friidesign Trilens for Fujifilm X Available

Back in August we reported about the Friidesign Trilens for Fujifilm X.

Now a limited number is available at the Friidesign Trilens page here.

We’re currently shipping a small batch of Fuji mount TriLens™ before Christmas. This batch is limited and will resupply in the beginning of 2020.

A similar product for Fujifilm X is already offered by Fotodiox. It’s the Fotodiox Pro lens cycler with mounts for 2x Fujifilm X series lenses. But that one holds only 2 lenses, and not 3.

FR reader Jan (thanks) just informed me that Friidesign trilens for Fujifilm X mount is coming in about one month.

What is the Friidesign trilens? Well, the image above is quite self-explanatory. In short: if you also think changing lenses sucks, than you might be interested in the trilens (see video below).

So, if you are the guy, who needs to change lenses often, this could be an interesting solution.

Fujifilm Will Launch Lenses with Clickless Aperture for Video in 2017 – New Source

According to a new source, Fujifilm will launch lenses with clickless aperture in 2017. These lenses are ment for X-shooters, who use their X-camera especially for videos.

Of course, take it with a grain of salt for now…

With the X-T2, Fujifilm now has a very good allrounder camera, with very fast and accurate Aufotfocus (so confirms even the Sony manager, who created the A7 series) and great video quality. And X-shooters, who use the X-T2 a lot for video, might appreciate the addition of such lenses.

I don’t know, yet, if Fujifilm will make a clickless aperture version of existing lenses, or if they are going to launch complete new lenses.

And while such lenses might be highly appreciated by video shooters, I hope Fujifilm doesn’t forget that some out there are still waiting for the XF33mmF1.0, XF8-16mmF2.8, XF200mmF2 (or 2.8) and some other lenses with a nice clicky aperture ring ;).

Well, according to a New Source, the first lenses available for the Medium Format Fuji will be 2 Primes and 1 Zoom Lens.
