  • Just Another Fuji Convert, From Trying Every Other System – Read here

Hello!

My name is Serge and I’ve written a guest feature before, about adopting the fuji system, in particular using the Fuji X-Pro2 my personal life, street photography, as well as concert photography.

This time I’ve had the chance to put it through an intensive, 1 week photo trip to Havana, Cuba. I paired my x-pro 2 with a fuji 23mm f2, creating a fast focusing, light, reliable, comfortable and even weather sealed combo.

What it created is really that feeling when youre not even thinking about the camera, when you can just be immersed into whats happening around you, which in turn appears to lead to better images. Gear annoyances can take you out of that zone, and fuji x-pro 2 with 23mm f2 allowed for an immersive experience. What is also interesting, is that i ended up using mostly SOOC jpegs or built in profiles for editing. Throughout the whole trip, I’ve only wished for a tilt screen for the x-pro 2. Now that I’ve purchased a fuji X100F, i still feel like the x-pro 2 combo was just a little more responsive and robust.

Although it sounds a little hokey, i really enjoyed walking around Havana with the x-pro 2 and 23mm f2, feeling as much of a bond as one can have with a piece of equipment :).

The Beauty of the XF18-135 – A Must Have Lens for Travels? – Top of the Shots at the X-shooter Facebook Zone!

Okan Yilmaz‎: Salt Lake X-T1, 18-135mm www.okanyilmaz.net

It continues to amaze me, what X-shooter all over the world share at the FujiRumors Facebook Page (click “See All”).

Many images really trigger my desire to travel and to photograph the world with my X-gear. But I’ll somehow have to manage my “wanderlust” until my next longer holidays. And in the meantime, looking at your images helps me not only to get an idea of which places I could visit, but also to think about which X-gear I should eventually take with me.

In the last few months, there is particulary one X-shooter, Okan Yilmaz, who is sharing tons of great images from all around the world, mostly taken with the Fujinon XF 18-135 (now $200 off at Adorama, BHphoto, AmazonUS and FocusCamera) and the XF10-24mm (now $200 off at Adorama, BHphoto, AmazonUS, FocusCamera)

Especially the XF18-135 seems to be a perfect allrounder for travels. It’s a sturdy, weather sealed lens (I made a hardcore test ;) ), quite sharp for a super-zoom and with it’s class leading OIS, it is very useful in low light (as long as your subject isn’t moving, of course)

When it comes to select my lenses for travels, I can’t see myself travelling without my 18-135 anymore. It’s just too flexible.

So I invite you to check out todays selection and to see what the 18-135 (and other lenses) can do in the hands of passionate X-shooters :-)
